I ordered the pesto crusted salmon, and it was absolutely delicious. Honestly, I wouldn’t even call it pesto crusted, it was more like pesto smothered, in the best way possible. So flavorful and perfectly cooked. My husband had the GF Kalua Pig Barbeque Burger, and it was so good that I ended up ordering it again on a separate evening for takeout. It was incredibly juicy, packed with flavor, and completely hit the spot.
The restaurant was busy, as it usually is, and there was live music which added such a great vibe to the evening. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and handled the busy atmosphere really well.
Lulu’s continues to be a must-visit for us whenever we’re in Waikiki. Great food, great energy, and consistently a good time.
They have a wide variety of vegan and gluten free options and also has a large selection of cocktails, wine, beer, mocktails.
Came for breakfast and ordered the avocado toast with avocado, arugula, bean sprouts, tomato, feta cheese, lemon on sourdough and the Lulu Moco with wagyu beef patty and Kalua pork with two eggs and onion gravy topped with green onions. Both were delicious breakfast options.
We were able to be seated right on the window with great views of the beach and Kalakaua avenue. Slight downside with the window seating is BEWARE of the pigeons. When they fly away, their feathers make their way to your eating area. Probably not the best scenario but there are spikes to prevent the birds from landing but there is still enough of an landing area for them to sit perched on the balcony area.
Other than that, service was good and food was delicious and views were great!
Parking is limited and can find street parking at kapiolani park or at the zoo. Kaptiolani Park meter parking is cheaper so try park there first.
We got seated quickly, and it was refreshing that the staff actually asked and cared about where we wanted to sit (great views of the street and ocean from our spot).
I went with the Longboard Burrito, and it was incredible. The pork was flavorful and tender, potatoes perfectly crisped on the outside and soft inside, and the side fruit cup was loaded with fresh, juicy produce—no skimping there.
My wife ordered the sampler, and everything hit the mark: bacon cooked just right (crispy but not overdone), great sourdough toast, and the Spam was spot-on—nicely crisped and full of flavor.
Service stayed attentive without hovering, and food came out at a good pace. Couldn’t ask for much more from a breakfast spot in Waikiki.
We’ll definitely be back before we head home. If you’re looking for a solid, satisfying breakfast with friendly vibes, Lulu’s is the spot.
