Hopefully, I’ll get them in the right order. First I ordered to go. Very disappointing. The tacos de lengua was tasty but chopped up to almost no texture but moosh. The asada taco was awful. I know it was sitting in the hotel pan for who knows how long. It was gray, had no char from the grille, no seasoning and chewy. The taco el pastor was nice though. I had asked for a plane quesadilla, which was twelve dollars.The lady said it was a very large quesadilla.It was not. Very bland.
Now three weeks later went in there to eat. I believe it was new year’s day. First thing was ordered was a taco lengua. Still, the same was not lacking flavor just didn’t like the texture. Then had the enchiladas mole’ . I did enjoy the flavor I know. It probably was not homemade because it takes a couple days and around what twenty to thirty ingredients, if not more sometimes. Still, it was good.The chicken inside was moist. Then, ordered, I wish I could remember the name there was 2 to choose from.Basically a mixed grill. The one that was ordered had the grilled cactus. It comes with grilled chicken steak, shrimp and carnitas. Now then the steak was fantastic. Nice charcoal grilled flavor. Great seasoning. Shrimp were tender, cactus tasted good firm but not soft. The carnitas on the bottom it was bathing in flavor (juice as well as rendered fat) which was great to duncan tortillas in.
The jimica margarita was nice. And came with a fun cute little gimmick….. a colorful flashing little bead dunked in the middle of. Fun.

I love it! The staff were very kind and patient. We visited the last location and it has changed tons! The food is still the same, although the prices have gone up. But other than that, it was delicious! Totally recommend! The Birria Tacos are a must! We tried the classic burritos and the mole enchilada!

First time here. No wait at peak time on a Saturday! Very polite and courteous waiter.
The salsa isn’t quite up to par with the Mexican restaurants near us. Still good but seemed watered down. The chips however were really good! Great crunch and flavor.
I got the chimichangas and she got the fajita quesadilla. I also grabbed a single taco to try. Really enjoyed the chimis! Very tasty! She really liked the quesadilla. The taco was delicious! I am coming back for more of those for sure!
The portions were honestly spot on! This is rare in places nowadays. I’m not stuffed but not hungry either. Plus no doggy bag.
Prices were pretty comparable for most places so no complaints there.
Bottom line this will be a go to for us if we want Mexican and in Richmond. Also it served as a lovely date night

All around AMAZING trip! We are from Ohio & just passing thru to check out URANUS fudge & searched up a place to eat near by. The photos are what sold me initially, & then the reviews of the service & quality reeled me in the rest of the way. Everyone in my family was highly satisfied with our food & service!! Our waitress was absolutely delightful, kept our drinks full and assured we were well taken care of. & the food was absolutely delicious. Price point is amazing, extremely generous portions. Highly highly HIGHLY recommend them!!! We will be coming back with more family to let them experience this as well! I cannot remember the name of our waitress but she was phenomenal!!

The food here is still just as delicious as ever! If you go, the Birria Tacos are a mandatory order—they are incredible. We also tried the classic burritos and the mole enchilada, and everything was flavorful and fresh. Even with the new location and updated pricing, the service remains top-notch. The staff is so patient and welcoming. Definitely a local favorite for a reason!

Love them, their food and service….. they are so friendly, and welcoming. Also they know me when I call and know my order and name , and they always get it right!!! I have never had and issue with order being wrong even when it’s bigger than usual. So if u haven’t checked them out then you are truly missing out, don’t wait go and you’ll see what I mean

As visitors from Ohio passing through for the URANUS fudge, we stumbled upon an all around AMAZING dining experience! The photos and reviews drew us in, and the reality was even better. The price point is amazing, offering extremely generous portions of absolutely delicious food. Our phenomenal waitress was absolutely delightful, ensuring our drinks were full and that we were perfectly taken care of. We highly highly HIGHLY recommend this spot and plan to return with more family!

•Salsa had an offputting taste and odor. There was a hint of “rot” to it, similar to the sweet rotten odor of a dumpster on a hot day.
•Waiter was extremely difficult to hear, not due to an impediment, language barrier, or external noises, but due to the volume of his voice. We requested that he repeat himself multiple times.
•Food was slightly below par. Nothing significant. It did not seem fresh. Our order was extremely fast to show up to the table, but was also barely warm.
In conclusion, I would not recommend this establishment. There are much better eateries in the area to choose from.

Service, for my to go order, was terrific! Easily placed the order and was quickly ready to go. Unfortunately, it wasn’t what I thought I’d ordered…the “wet burrito” on the menu I read had lettuce tomatoes and sour cream inside, the one I received was just meat and rice. Nonetheless good, but not what I expected to receive and too far away to rectify by calling the restaurant and telling them.

I had the Birria Tacos and my husband had enchiladas. Both meals were excellent! The birria was flavorful and topped off by plenty of fresh cilantro and onions. I ordered a side of rice and beans and had more than I could eat. The service was great. Our server came to check on us multiple times and was very friendly! I would highly recommend Lulu’s Tacos as a great choice for authentic Mexican food!
