Our office ordered from Lulus. The shrimp and grits was atrocious. No flavor! Cheese sticks smelled like play doh and tasted worse. The fried potatoes were nothing as described. They were baked potatoes with ranch and bacon. The description reads “fried potatoes chimichurri cream, green onion, crispy potatoes, pork belly“. The strawberry salad with chicken was a joke! The “almonds” were bendy!

Love the cute atmosphere… the service was absolutely horrendous. We waited 45 minutes for a PLAIN burger that was not done to customers liking. Asked for no cheese and proceeded to get a cheese burger. Waiters claimed she switched burger but in reality they took the cheese and flipped the burger upside down. THIS WOULD BE A SERIOUS ISSUE IF I WAS ALLERGIC TO DAIRY. A waitress SHOULD NOT lie abt such things. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. Tacos were BURNT. Waiter made us wait for 25-30 minutes to refill our sprites. She had talked to several tables next to us and served others. The hosts thankfully asked us at one point if we were okay. We were hoping that the restaurant would be as good as the reviews but it wasn’t. The amount of fries we got wouldn’t even fill my 6m old babies belly… especially compared to the table next to us. Speaking of them. They got their food within 20 minutes of being there.

If you prefer to wait almost an hr for food and not get drinks refilled. Highly recommend.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to LuLu’s Place. The atmosphere was romantic with low lights and the restaurant was very clean.

We had a great server named Fancy who was so kind, patient, and well informed about the menu.

The potatoes, pimento cheese, and grits were my favorite. I give them all a 5/5. The steak doesn’t seem marinated but the garnish gave it a really good flavor.

My husband’s pork chop was lacking seasoning as well, but when paired with the grits it was really good.

I love Fried Green Tomatoes. I eat them at every restaurant I visit. My first bite was bland. It seemed like it was just breaded and fried. It needed salt. However; when paired with the tomato jelly it was really good.

I highly recommend this place. I can’t wait to try other menu options.

Enjoyed a beautiful Sunday brunch with my sister. We ordered the deviled egg and fried green tomato appetizers, and they were delish. The chef delivered them himself. Then she got the Lulu’s breakfast, and I got the breakfast Tostada, and we both enjoyed our food. It was a perfect day to eat outside and enjoy being downtown. They were a little short staffed but took care of us very well.

This was SOOO disappointing! The Mac and Cheese was pretty good. Thats where it ended! My wife ordered a Lulu’s Po Boy (shrimp)… SUPER tiny bread with 5 medium size shrimp on it. Came with a side of crinkle fries – obviously frozen, but more so the little niblets from the botton of the bag. (Shouldn’t need a fork to eat fries). NOT worth $14! I ordered “The House Burger” (peppercorn aioli, arugula, crispy shallots, pork belly, and jack cheese on a potato bun)… came out with NO peppercorn aioli, pork belly OR jack cheese… just a TON of tiny onions on top. Sent it back – but at this point took over 45 mins to get this. Another 20 mins later it comes back and she says “This ones perfect”…. This time got the cheese and aioli sauce but now missing the pork belly and onions. She offered for make the 3rd, but now we’re over and hour, hungry and late for our place we were going too. Server was very nice, but WAY over priced and SOOO slow especially when getting half the order wrong twice. AND, the place was dead at noon on a Saturday. We’re the only table there. How can you take this long AND screw up so bad. Give the chef a menu to look at maybe? Also, we went to The Wharf in Leeds on the way home… they made the BEST Shrimp Po Boy (2nd picture)… also $14. You guys might want to run up there and see how it’s done.

It was our first time there. First, the staff were so inviting and made us feel like we were in their home. Fancy was awesome, she was so sweet and great personality. The chef came out, he was great, he answered all our questions regarding the dishes.

The food was good, I had pork chops

and carrots on the side. I ordered the fried green tomatoes, it was ok. The atmosphere was great and food was good. I’ll be going back.

This is my third time at Lulu’s Place. The first two dining experiences were 10/10.
Yesterday was the worst experience I’ve had there.
My crawfish egg rolls were exceptional as always.
The fried pickles were different from other restaurants. It was personally too big of spheres for my liking. The flat iron steak was not good at all. It was cooked to three different temperatures and was visually charred. I was highly disappointed with my dining experience this time.

We stopped by for a quick drink while exploring the area and fell in love. The staff are very friendly, the drinks are the best we’ve had in the state, and while we haven’t had dinner here yet, the Creme Brule Cheesecake is AMAZING. We will most certainly be returning, likely often enough to be regulars.

I very rarely leave or write a review, however this was a culinary experience that must be shared.

We had the most awesome experience from the moment we walked through the door.

We had the gumbo, a salad and the lamb

Presentation and flavors were exceptional

We had a great time at the restaurant. I was thoroughly impressed by the food! The last time I had this dish was in Europe and it was by no means as good as what I had at Lulu’s.
