Wonderful spot for breakfast. We ate breakfast here 3 mornings during our stay and it was wonderful. Patricia and German took such good care of us, so wonderfully kind and accommodating. And Niraj, the manager, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Everyone made us feel very welcome with our energetic 2 year old. Food was delivered very quickly and it was all flavorful and fresh. My husband had the huevos rancheros, breakfast sandwich and shakshuka and he raved about everything. They were able to substitute a vegan sausage instead of meat for all the dishes he ordered. I had the breakfast bowl twice and the crab and avocado omelet. The breakfast bowl was so fresh, light and flavorful with perfectly poached eggs. Everything I want in a breakfast, hence ordering it twice! And the views and decor are gorgeous.

Shakshuka was our favorite, duck confit hash was a bit heavy due large chunks of potatoes inside, not my favorite. Oatmeal and acai bowl was nice.
Service was lacking. They brought my duck confit with poached eggs and the server said he’ll be right back with my bread. For me, right back is literally within 30 seconds. Instead, he came out 5 minutes later with full tray of entrees for the next table and my bread was on that tray so he brought me my bread after he gave the other 4 people their food. We were sitted outside so of course by the time I got my bread, my dish was already cold, so so dissapointing to eat cold poached eggs.
Asked for coffee and again, he did not bring it until we flagged down another waiter to ask.
For a restaurant inside the 5 star resort, this place is not up to par.

My husband & I were looking for a restaurant at the Ritz Carlton Bacara Santa Barbara (where we were staying) that possibly served steak and lobster, for our anniversary (something we like to do each year). We stopped in the Luliu Restaurant and spoke with the manager Kyleigh, she mentioned that they had steak and other seafood options, but not lobster, so we moved on. Later that day we got a pleasant call from Kyleigh who said she spoke with Chef, and he said he would get lobster and to invite us. So we made a reservation for the next night. To our lovely surprise they had a beautiful ocean view table waiting for us with rose petals and an anniversary card, and a custom menu for us. Alana the General Manager came over to meet and welcome us, bringing over a complimentary bottle of champagne. Chef Ren came out to welcome us and tell us a little bit about the menu he had planned for us. Katie our server made us feel equally as welcome. Chef and staff came out with dinner to explain all we had in front of us, and the concept of what was planned. The lobster and steak were beautifully prepared, in a delicious and unique presentation, with special dipping sauces, a delicate salad and amazing sides of brussel sprouts and rainbow baby carrots with feta and pistachio crumble, and roasted garlic potatoes. Dinner was amazing, everything was fantastic! Chef later came back to see how all went. They had delicious choices for dessert and we had the olive oil cake and a unique Greek puffed pastry desert with a rose water sauce…it’s a must try…practically licked the plate clean it was so good! Our meal felt like it was made with love, and the entire staff offered extraordinary service. Special thanks to the manager Kyleigh and Chef Ren for reaching out to us and going the extra mile to make our 43rd anniversary so special!!

They were slammed the day we came so the wait was long, but the Manager Alana Hidalgo was so thoughtful and aware. Took great care of us and everyone else in the restaurant. The breakfast menu was so good. I could’ve ordered anything. The food was super fresh and hot! We are definitely coming back.

Delicious breakfast options! I enjoyed the Protein Breakfast Bowl, a decaf latte, and gluten free bread. Beautiful touches to the tables and plates, etc. There was an amazing looking breakfast buffet I wish I could’ve tried one morning too, but ran out of time. Complimentary coffee for guests waiting to be seated near the hostess desk. Both indoor and outdoor seating options available.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel and decided it would be easier for us to eat breakfast at the hotel instead of leaving it. Little did we know that the service is extremely slow and it seems like the staff members there are scrambling to figure out where to sit customers.

My wife and I dined there for breakfast twice and for dinner once . The only reason I’m leaving at three out of five is because Katie saved the day for dinner and provided exceptional service like no other. We had such a great time for dinner and the service was on point.

I cannot say the same for breakfast. It seems like they favored who they sat for breakfast. We had reservations at 11:15 am. It’s now 11:45 am. Seats outdoors are open and there are atleast 4 couples and one family waiting. That’s not right! If it wasn’t for me asking for the manager, they would have kept us waiting.
Save yourself time especially if you wake up hungry and want to get breakfast, look elsewhere. As far as dinner, I highly recommend and only because the food was good and Katie saved the day!

I was really looking forward to trying Lulio Bacara here in Santa Barbara, but unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. I ordered a steak, and it came out completely overcooked nowhere near the temperature I requested. For a place that’s supposed to be high-end, that was very surprising.

On top of that, the service made the evening even worse. A heavy-set Asian man who seemed to be “managing” the staff was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout the night. His attitude completely ruined what was supposed to be an enjoyable dinner.

For the price and reputation, I expected so much better. Sadly, I won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience in Santa Barbara.

This place is absolutely delicious—we dined here twice during our trip, once for breakfast and once for dinner, and both experiences were outstanding. The atmosphere, service, and food were consistently fantastic.

For breakfast, the shakshuka was flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the cinnamon rolls were warm, soft, and just the right amount of sweet.

At dinner, the freshly baked pita bread was out of this world, especially paired with the variety of dips. And the desserts? We sampled a few, and each one somehow topped the last. Highly recommend!
