Social Profile:

We are located in the heart of the Barbecue capital of the world, in the Galleria area of Houston and easily accessible from any part of the city. Luling City Market was founded by the Craig family in 1981 and has been family owned and operated for over 40 years, bringing the distinct Central Texas Bar-b-que style to the city. We cook our meat over Post Oak wood in specially designed pits. No gas is used for cooking our meat. All of the smoke flavor and the distinctive smoke ring are genuine. In addition, we make our own 100% beef sausage using the same recipe we have used for over 40 years. We smoke fresh meat 7 days a week from brisket, chicken, turkey and pork ribs to our own home made sausage links.

BBQ brisket in vinegar-based sauce & served on butcher paper steals the show at this rustic eatery.

The food was delicious and the place is very nice. The truth is that it was exactly what I was looking for but unfortunately the service is lousy. I would never return and I would not recommend this place either, even though the food is very good for me, service is very important.

I had the sausage sándwich and it was OK. The sausage wasn’t the best that I’ve had at a bbq Joint but it was good. The staff was welcoming and the atmosphere in the restaurant was top notch. Next time I will ensure I’m really hungry when I come and have some ribs and brisket.

Quick business trip to Houston and came here for lunch – wow!! Everything tasted homemade and was so delicious. If you’ve been to NYC’s Katz’s Deli, I say this is the Texas bbq version of it!

Great flavor and good prices just like I like it! You can order in, togo orrrrr order delivery through apps. It’s kinda like Papa’s bbq but with more flavor! They have reasonable prices. The staff was pretty friendly and quick. It’s not a huge restaurant I would say capacity would be around 50ppl or so. Good place for biz lunches or family time. My first time I was by myself during lunch time on a weekday. Wasn’t to bad of a crowd but they were busy. Try the brisket!

I’ve been here twice and the ‘Q is awesome. The first visit the brisket was moist and tasty, the pork ribs were even better, the beef sausage link was very good. My second visit the brisket was a tad dry, the pork ribs were meaty and full of flavor, tried the spicy sausage link, great taste but not much spice. The sides i tried were and very good cole slaw and beans….they were so good the first time why change. If you haven’t been….go!

I stopped in after a long day of working in the sun. I grabbed a brisket plate and headed to my hotel. The food was delicious! I got the beans and slaw for sides and they were good as well.

I thought their spicy sausage was excellent and so were their ribs. Thier brisket was a bit dry and really needed BBQ sauce to cover that up.

Outstanding BBQ that does Houston proud. The ribs are fall off the bone soft and perfectly seasoned. I could have done myself some serious damage with the brisket as well. Creamy potato salad and subtle cole slaw perfectly complimented the meat. Loved the sauce as well. Highly recommend this family restaurant.

came here for the first time a few days ago the food is pretty good. I had the brisket, sausage and ribs and it was tasty and tender. great bbq sauce and a friendly staff. reasonable prices and would go here again for the simple fact it has a nice feel to it. We drove a hour away , just thinking about brisket and looked this place up and saw a four star rating but this place is a waste of your money. We walked in and the owner was at the bar working and didn’t even say Hi, that should of been a sign and we should of walked back out but like I said we wanted some brisket. We got in one line and felt rushed and couldn’t get a good idea what my husband wanted but I knew I wanted brisket so I ordered a one meat plate with brisket and my husband wanted a two meat plate but didn’t have it, had to order a one meat plate then order any other meat as a ala arte which we got chicken. My husband ordered brisket plate also and ordered chicken as a alacarte. The plate comes with 2 sides so we got potato salad, coleslaw and beans.Let’s start with the food the brisket was so dry on both plates that we had to use a lot of bbq sauce. The chicken was smoked , I guess but it was also dried and that is my husband favorite thing was chicken but not that chicken. The beans didn’t have any flavor or even juice to not make them so dry.The potato salad was good and my husband said the coleslaw was okay.We got two waters and two jalapeños. We paid $49 dollars and some change. We we’re very very disappointed on our food but it was paid for already so of course we ate it but we will not be going back or recommending this place to anyone.Waste of or time and money.
