My boyfriend and I absolutely LOVE banh mi so we’ve tried around 7 or 8 different banh mi shops around the area. This is, by far, the BEST banh mi shop we’ve tried. We tried the spring rolls, grilled pork banh mi and the spam and egg banh mi. The spring rolls were so insanely good, the best out of any vietnamese restaurant we’ve been to. I wasn’t even able to get a picture of them because we ate them so quickly. Our sandwiches were absolutely top notch, the bread was fantastic and crisp, grilled pork was seasoned to perfection, spam and egg was ridiculously good, veggies were fresh- everything was so amazing. We were blown away and so surprised that we had never been here before! We will absolutely be returning to try every type of banh mi here.

Came here on a weekday afternoon for lunch. This was our first time here and we enjoyed everything we got! I love that they have lunch specials during the week. I ordered the beef pho which came with 3 choices for a side (egg roll, spring roll or summer roll. I chose the summer roll). My husband ordered the grilled pork banh mi lunch special with a side of pho broth. We also ordered a lychee boba with crystal jelly. We ordered at the counter and was given a number to place on our table. There were plenty of seating to choose from. Our drink was brought out to us first and came out super fast. Our food came out in about 10 minutes. Everything was absolutely delicious! I love vietnamese food and I will definitely be coming back. My pho was the perfect size for lunch and my summer roll was tasty with the peanut dipping sauce.

Came here after seeing good online reviews, but it was disappointing.
When we walked in, the cashier was taking a phone order. We waited patiently right in front of her, but she completely ignored us and focused only on the call. It wasn’t until another staff member noticed we had been waiting for quite a while that someone finally offered to take our order.
We wanted beef pho, but the beef broth was sold out. We ended up ordering chicken pho, which arrived looking unappetizing. The broth tasted like watered-down MSG with simple boiled chicken and noodles.
The egg rolls tasted good tho.

Going to get Vietnamese in Charlotte is always an exercise in expectations management. It’s usually disappointing. But Lula’s is great, and our favorite so far. A Banh Mi that’s actually a banh mi. How lovely. Also excellent value. Will be back to try the pho.

Pretty decent food. We ordered BBH, fried chicken wings, rice w/ grilled pork and 2 viet iced coffees.
The viet coffees were as traditional as it gets. The fried chicken wings did not have a flavor but really crispy and came with sweet chili sauce. We probably will not go back for the grilled pork because it did not have enough flavor compared to other spots. The BBH had flavor and the meats were very tender but did not have shredded cabbage or normal toppings (used pho toppings) and sadly did not have blood cubes which is what is traditionally in BBH.
We will be back to try the pho and banh mi but would recommend others to try in the area.

Was not impressed with the freshness of the food, especially Bahn Mi. The fried fish was hard and chewy, so was the bread. They both were cold.
Vegetarian Fo was okay. But they can do a better job selecting the basil leaves, which had spots on them.

Pho was spot on. I also tried the wings (big and juicy), spring rolls, sugar cane shrimp (really flavorful), and the rice plate with pork (delish). This is a family-owned and run business. Really sweet people. Can’t wait to return to try the rest of their menu.

Stumbled upon this place today and it was actually their first day open and decided to give them a try. So glad that we stopped in! Finally some Vietnamese @ the Arboretum area. Found out this is their second location. Their specialty is Pho and Banh Mi but I opted for something different. Was in the mood for Sugar Cane Shrimp and Noodle with Grilled Pork & Egg Roll. Flavors were spot on and everything tasted fresh. Service was impressive and with a smile! Be sure to ask Tony for some of their recommendations! Looking forward to trying more of their dishes and bumping them up to 5 star status.
