Well, you can’t beat the atmosphere. I came to have lunch at my favorite all-time place oyster bar but it’s closed today. It’s Sunday.. but I’ve had my eye on Luke’s which has some pretty amazing food, I sat at the bar and ordered some clam chowder, which is definitely oh yeah certified.. I also ordered a lobster roll which is sitting here in front of me and I think I might’ve ordered too much food. The portions are amazing. Looks so good if you’re in Grand Central and you want some nice hot soup and a beautiful lobster roll. Check out Luke.

I never thought one of my favorite dining experiences would be in grand central station. This is going to be a long review, so in short, go there, and see if Jeremy is working… Excellent bartender and host.

Jeremy was one of those cool guys that doesn’t lose his cool. He’s just always cool. He knows his craft, his skills and he’s just a great dude behind the bar. You know those people in Japan that are super into their job and take pride in it. That’s Jeremy… But he’s cool about it.

I’ve been to a lot of lobster roll places in Maine. It was a 2 week long road trip. This place blew them all away. Just enough seasoning to accentuate the lobster, but not so much as to over power.

The lobster bisque had chewable pieces of claw in it. Not lobster shreds, not the flavor of lobster, but chunks. Just delicious.

Their drinks were amazing. Something for everyone.

Ingredients are available in a clean laminated three ring binder. So if you have allergies or sensitivities, you don’t have to wonder and hope… Get the book, flip through it and order what you can eat.

Cleanliness. Wow. I saw them pull out the fridge and wash it. Not because the inspector was there, because that’s just how you run a clean restaurant. And behind the fridge… Spotless.

I saw the take the temperature of food multiple times. I’ve been to places that I’ve never seen this, and I saw it… Seemed like every 15 minutes.

And don’t forget to ask for Jeremy.

Now, the prices are commensurate with the quality. Honestly, I thought they were lower than I expected for the quantity of lobster and quality. But this is going to be more expensive than a burger… Because… Lobster.

I work in Grand Central and I stopped to get something on my break. This was the fastest most delicious meal I’ve ever had. Had to shout out MealPal for hooking me up with the crab Roll W/ Chips—the bun was pillowy, the crab perfectly buttery and flavorful, and those savory chips sealed the deal. Luke’s Lobster came through big time!

Located inside Grand Central Dining Concourse.
Enclosed seating; food came relatively quick. Priced well given the location – roll-$28 (incl chips and a drink).
roll-$20. And the drinks are not just fountain drinks but beer, Saratoga sparkling, carbonated drinks (upcharge for wine).
Kids menu also available.

I had a quick roll while waiting for my train. Everyone was very friendly. I enjoyed the vibe music was cool. Roll was tasty and filling. Loved that it came with a drink. Wasn’t too busy when I was there so service was quick. I had the half pounder.

The team here is truly special! I love the vibe, the teamwork, and how they treat both customers and each other. Grazie, Maurice!

The location is quite different from others you can find in New York or in places like Cape Cod, but keep in mind that you are in Central Station.
Luke’s is in an open space with other place where you can eat. For a quick snack, while catching a train or visiting the area, it’s perfectly fine.

I read an other review and, for me as well, the lobster roll was not very warm. However, I really loved the staff and wanted to share my appreciation.
Bravo team, bravo General Manager!

Absolutely tourist trap. Can’t imagine they give you a small pack of “chips” and claim it as a meal. For this money I would expect some “real” chips or fries. Lobster bisque is actually cream soup + a few lobster meat. Clam chowder has not real clam. They charge the lobster bisque $13. Few days ago I paid $17 for another lobster bisque in the Morton’s steak house. See the differences? Lastly they push the highest tip automatically when you wave your card!!! Be careful!! This shop is just a money sucker.

Onice is fantastic! Luke’s Lobster has great beers, great lobster rolls, and awesome atmosphere. I especially like the everlasting Peak’s Organic Island IPA they always have on draught. It’s a true Maine staple and a taste of home. I’m a routine customer and enjoy the conversations as much as the hospitality, food, and drink. Also for NYC the pricing is really favorable.
