I had a great experience at Luke’s.
The service was friendly, attentive, and never rushed (which immediately sets the tone for a good meal)
The restaurant itself was clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
The food was excellent❗
My dish had plenty of shrimp and sausage, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. It was also served with a biscuit that was absolutely delicious(soft & buttery) and the perfect complement to the meal. Everything came out hot and clearly made with care.
You can tell they take pride in both the food and the overall experience.
I’ll definitely be coming back and would recommend Luke’s to friends eating in Greenville.

So if you want a really good locally sourced, real food breakfast/lunch spot hit up Luke’s in downtown. Pumpkin spiced French toast, homemade biscuit(maybe sourdough), CFS(that was an actual steak and not fritter), fried eggs and fluffy pancake(wish it was a little sweeter). Definitely on the list to come back and revisit.

The pancakes were SOOO big and good. Even though the place was basically empty, I had to ask for refills and boxes to take things home.
I had to get her attention each time.

Went in on a Monday morning, two other tables were seated at the time with 1 server tending to us. We all enjoyed our food, good sized portions for the price. Would recommend and if I lived here again, would become a frequent spot.

Great food, service, and atmosphere. We came in on a steady busy Saturday morning approx 8am. The service was great was even just one waitress working most tables (Jazmen). She was very attentive. The food was great. I got the chicken and waffles and the chicken batter was crispy and delicious. The waffles were great. This is served with red onions but I did not include these on my order. Next time I probably would order a side of butter with my waffles to hydrate them. My son ordered the French toast dressed with fruit and that was an excellent choice. We definitely will be coming back here. Their menu options were appealing, and I appreciated the unique options they had for a child’s menu. Simple and convenient!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Step Back in Time – True 1920s Home Cooking
Luke’s in downtown Greenville isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a trip back to when meals were made from scratch, recipes were passed down through generations, and every bite felt like home.
We started with Mom’s Biscuits, served warm with freshly churned butter and a real strawberry preserve—not the overly sweet kind of today, but the smooth, rich kind that actually tastes like strawberries. The biscuits themselves? Golden, fluffy, and made the way they used to be—no sugar, just real, honest baking.
For the main dish, I ordered Chicken Fried Chicken with Two Over-Easy Eggs, Home Fries, and Gravy. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, with a crisp yet tender breading that didn’t overpower the meat. The gravy was thick, rich, and homemade—none of that instant packet stuff. The home fries were golden and crispy, and if I had to guess, I’d say the ketchup and hot sauce were house-made too—flavorful, balanced, and free from the overly processed taste of modern condiments.
Luke’s doesn’t just serve food—it serves memories. If you’re looking for real, old-fashioned home cooking without the excess sugar and shortcuts of today, this is the place. 5/5, can’t wait to come back and try more!

We had the absolute best visit to Luke’s today! Great service, yummy food, atmosphere was beautiful and inviting! I was a little nervous since it’s still fairly new but it didn’t disappoint! The homemade biscuits were so good! My son tried the waffles and loved them! Everything we ordered came out hot, quickly and tasted fabulous! Exciting to have a new spot in town and grateful for the opportunity to support a local business! Give it a shot!!

Lots of open tables but not for a group of 5. We waited 20 minutes to be seated and another 30 minutes to get our food. Bacon was extremely hard, red salsa chilaquiles was mediocre, good biscuits and jams, Bottled drinks.

Went to Luke’s today with my Fiancée to give it a try! We’ve been looking forward to new restaurants and we’re very excited. Especially for a new brunch spot! Luke’s did NOT disappoint. The decor was lovely, the place was clean and had a very relaxed vibe. We were seated quickly and the service was great. We hope they add alcohol for mimosas and beers down the line- but the food was DELICIOUS! I got the chicken sandwich and my chicken was huge. The aioli and fries were standouts and the service was great! My partner got the Cajun style grits breakfast and literally almost licked the plate clean it was so delicious. We can’t wait to return for our next brunch date! Thank you, Luke’s! Greenville is very excited to have you!
