If your passing through this place is worth the stop!
Drove all the way from Austin and I arrived right as they were closing to try some cookies. Their cookies are so so good! So soft and delicious. But what stuck out to me the most was how nice and welcoming they were. Thank you for making me feel welcome and treating us friendly and being inclusive in conversation. This is exactly how people visiting should feel.

My family used to have a mechanic shop in La Grange right on the other side of the river across the stockyard called Ambriz Auto & Truck many moons back. Also worked for Ray’s Crane Service back in the day. But I can still taste them pig in da blankets to this day. Man how I love to get to work and the pigs were waiting for me. Especially with a hot cop of coffee. It was mandatory to have Lukas Bakery pigs in da blankets. It was one of my motivational reasons to get out of bed and get to work. I now live in Jourdanton Texas but plan to make a trip with my brother because he to can remember them pigs and loved them. As well as bring my daughter and son so they can taste what good pig in da blankets should taste like. Thanks you Lukas Bakery for helping us make good memories. You are a historical land mark in my book and it makes me very happy that you guys are still in operation. We will see you guys soon. I promise!!! ❤️ I give this place 5 jalapeno’s out of 5! Best little bakery in Texas!!

1977 to 1978 I lived just outside La Grange and worked for Brown & Root. I can’t believe your good bakery is still around. I stopped in and always bought your pigs in a blanket. The best. Now I live in NY do you deliver! Respectfully good old heritage.

Been stopping there for many years. My favorite is the raisin bar cookies. Love your bakery and hospitality; please stay the course!

Really nice little shop. Super friendly staff. I can’t speak to the kolaches, but anyone that says their pigs are great must not get out much.
If I hadn’t already had Covid and been asymptomatic, I would probably go get tested. Zero flavor in the sausage. No cheese or anything else to help it out. Good meat to bread ratio like someone else said, but also undercooked and doughy on the bread.
Maybe the other items would be better, but I’m not going to waste another stop. YMMV.

Anyone who rated Lukas Bakery less than 5 stars need to have their heads examined. We bought some pigs, cream puffs, and cherrie nut cookies which were all excellent. As an afterthought we bought a fruit cake which was marked down half price now that the holiday season is officially over. Wow this no doubt is the best fruitcake ever! I know I’ll be making another trip soon!

Visiting my home town and had to have a pig in a blanket. I love that it is predictable. The pig I had was just as delecious as all the ones I got here over the 25 years that I grew up and worked in LA Grange. I also like the lemon bars.

They have the best Pigs-N-the-Blankets and Kolaches in the world. I travel through at least 4 times a year to get my fix. It has been there since my parents were children and still family owned and operated with all fresh ingredients and no preservatives. It doesn’t get any better than that.

This is the best pastry shop in Central Texas. The pigs-in-a-blanket are out of this world! And don’t forget the cherry pistachio cookies or donut holes. Get there early—they sell out quick!

I’ve been coming to this bakery for 30 years.
I’ve traveled the world, and to this day I have found NONE that can compare.
-Everything is hand made, and it is still family owned.
-They have the absolute BEST Kolaches and Pigs in a Blanket that you will ever put in your mouth.
– I have been known to drive 100 miles out of my way to stock up on the best bakery offerings in the world
DO NOT SETTLE for less! There are other imitations, and I’ve tried them all. Lukas Bakery is the best!
