The best food, the best service and to top it all to have a Luisa give us a call. Nothing but the best Italian food in all San Francisco!!!

Joanna, words cant explain, I fell in love with Luisa’s restaurant it was love at first sight, amazing food, delicious and the service is amazing. Luisa’s will always be a stop every time I come out here for work and to top it off they appreciate their customers I was happy to speak with her and express how much i enjoy the place.

Stumbled across this restaurant late at night and I was surprised. The lasagna was sizzling and tasty. The garlic bread was crispy too. We also saw Luisa herself, who was a gentle and kind lady. The portions are a bit small so it will not leave you feeling too full.

This was Italian cuisine at its most disciplined and articulate—arguably finer than what I’ve experienced in Italy itself.

Each dish demonstrated restraint and clarity: pasta with exacting texture, sauces stripped of excess yet rich in intent, ingredients allowed to speak without interference. Nothing relied on nostalgia or theatrics; everything was deliberate.

Service moved with quiet confidence, pacing the meal as a single, coherent composition rather than a sequence of courses.

This was not a reproduction of Italian cooking, but its distillation—tradition understood, refined, and expressed with uncommon precision. A symphony that plays to even the most discriminative pallet. Don’t miss the chance to eat the most wonderful and authentic Italian gastronomic food on our wonderful planet. Magnificent!

We went pretty late at night on a weekday so it was empty. There’s not a lot of tables so definitely call or make a reservation if you’re going during prime dinner time. It’s very quiet and great atmosphere. Friendly service. I loved their house red, the bruschetta, and the lobster ravioli in particular.

We liked the food here. I ordered the lobster ravioli with vodka sauce, a Caesar salad, and a glass of the house red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon). The service was helpful and attentive. The one thing I was not wild about was the atmosphere. When we walked in, the whole place smelled like disinfectant. Also, the decor was rundown, and loud 70s music blared from the speakers. We were seated next to a window so that was the one nice touch from an atmospheric perspective. We could people watch and eat at the same time.

Great place to have some pasta pizza we tried a vegetarian calzone. It had OK flavor, but it did not come with sauce so it lacks some flavor. It also took an hour for our food to come out. We also tried the vodka gnocchi, which was just OK the gnocchi was good, but the sauce was not the best. Surprisingly the Caesar salad was the best thing we tried with a glass of wine.

We enjoyed the food here and it’s reasonably priced for SF. I’ve had the manicotti with vodka sauce and it is deliciously cheesy and fresh. The lasagna with spinach and mushrooms wasn’t as tasty and the filling was a little dry. My husband really liked the clams in wine and olive oil and the chicken with lemon and capers. The portions are good, but not huge. We liked the spumoni bomb. This is a casual place with lots of regulars. The service is uneven. Sometimes the staff is very friendly and other times they seem disinterested.

We are from Sacramento and are staying on the wharf. We wanted some good Italian and wine and we stumbled upon her place and just had a feeling it would be delicious and it really was! The wine was excellent! It felt like being back in Italy or in my case it felt like being back in Croatia! I would absolutely recommend eating here for dinner!

My brother and I were recommended this place by our foodie friend. The atmosphere feels like a special hidden family restaurant and the food better than your nonna could make. The limoncello cake was the most perfect way to end our meal. Absolutely will be returning here.
