Great, authentic feeling Latin American diner. Great choices on the menu and the service was welcoming and friendly. The Cortadito with evaporated milk deserves special mention – it really was a delicious coffee and I am a bit of a coffee snob.

I lived in the area for most of my life and even after moving out of area still came back to visit family and friends in area and would come eat here and always was very good. But unfortunately I’ve been noticing a trend in a lot of places that was awesome to eat. And again unfortunately this is another one of those places that has lost its luster.
My mother and I ordered a Tamal en Cazuela, that this place has been known for to be amazing! And what a let down. We got our order and it was nothing near what it used to be. It has a stringy texture and was watered down …like if they grounded down the corn with the husks. My wife ordered a breaded steak that tasted like nothing and the steak under the breading looked white and was horrible looking. I asked for my check and advised the waitress the food quality was off and she sent another waitress with my bill to not deal with my complaint. I paid my bill , and we departed it’s a real shame the waitress did not even say, let me get a manager or try to make it right.
I understand why restaurants that were once a staple in the community lose customers and close down. Restaurant owners need to keep in mind to not exchange quality food for cheaper food to make a higher profit. Don’t sacrifice quality and lose customers that will never return , like myself.
It is a real shame.

I had a mediocre experience at this restaurant. The food itself isn’t that good. Some foods tasted too much of oil while others tasted fine. Also as we ordered they said that any meal with egg costs a $1 extra. That’s ridiculous, its not the customers fault theres an egg problem right now
And ive been to other restaurants that serve eggs without an extra charge.
Service was also not the best as our server never stopped by to ask if we needed anything else and by the end of our meal she never came to pick up our food or give us our check so we had to call a random server over to help us. Place also has basic decor and theme. Probably won’t come again.

Food was not good. Masitas de puerco were mostly fat, my breaded steak was overcooked (dry, crunchy breaded outside) and hard steak to chew. The plantains were good but the tamale lacked flavor and had a tiny piece of pork with lots of fat and was also really small. The service was horrific.
The server never came by the table to pick up the plates that were empty, never came by to refill the water or ask if everything was fine. We had to ask another server to get her so we could pay and leave because she was oblivious to the status of our table.
She said they were missing a server but it wasn’t that busy when we were there. She said she hoped to see us again and I told her that was not going to happen and explained how the service was very lacking. What a shame, we were expecting great food and service (from experience at their other restaurants) but very disappointing.

The Cafe con Leche, priced at $5, is not included in the main breakfast specials, which is disappointing compared to other restaurants that offer it as part of their breakfast menu with better quality. Additionally, the waitress provided inconsistent information about the food prices, which was frustrating. Maybe train your staff better?

I came on Christmas day to enjoy a dinner w/ friends. We decided to be seated on outdoor seats and the service was extremely slow. The tamales on leaf were horrible and the salmon grille a little overcooked. I reduce stars from 4 to 3 star because they make me feel bad in front of my guesses.

My first Cuban sandwich and I‘m sold. So delicious and huge portions for a fair price. Even though I don’t speak any Spanish, the waitress was super friendly and did her best to make sure that I’m having a good time.

I always enjoy going to their other restaurant and I love it. I liked this one too their food great as usual for food I’ll give 5 stars. But customer service was really bad we sat there for more than 10 minutes before I went I got our menus. To get water also a hassle; the girls were very disorganized they started serving the bread and water to a table that came up after us. Also they were sending each other to serve the tables, it was busy but not crazy our section had probably 4 waitress and no-one came up to us until I got up and talk to one of them. Trying to get our check another long wait when the restaurant was empty only us and another table. I give a 3 stars just for the lack of customer service nothing like their other restaurant.
