Both of our meals were delicious, and good sized portions. Bot of the staff that were out on the floor, were very friendly and engaging. It was a very comfortable dining experience.

My wife and I stopped for lunch randomly while on vacation. I’m glad we did. It wasn’t very busy. Food was excellent. Service was polite.

Very nice food and atmosphere, went in ona Saturday night and there was a great guitarist setting a nice mood. Good wine, hefty portions, good value and quality..I wish it had a few dishes that weren’t as pasta heavy but a great place in the area. Would recommend.

Any 4 or 5 star review should be considered very suspicious. I am giving this a 1-star based on the food. We were in Omaha to visit family and went to Luigi’s on 12 Oct for dinner. We ordered four dishes: alfredo, chicken alfredo, the Branson special, and the Leo’s special. First the good: the rolls were great, the pasta was cooked, the waitress was great. I can make this review really easy. Watch any Gordon Ramsay “Kitchen Nightmares” involving an italian restaurant that is bad and that pretty much sums up the review. Nothing was prepared fresh, it was all microwaved. The chicken in my chicken alfredo was boiled, not grilled, and I am sure it was boiled a few days prior to it being served to me after it was reheated in the microwave. The chicken was also not seasoned with anything … no even salt. The alfredo sauce was similar to the sauce in the Michelina’s frozen dinner. In fact, the Michelina’s chicken alfredo is vastly better. I dont know where they got the alfredo sauce, but it was bland as it could be … essentially just cream with a minor amount of parmesan. It is magically difficult to mess up alfredo sauce, but they accomplished that feat. It 100% wasnt made at the restaurant, it was some generic bulk alfredo sauce. My wife had the Branson special and the breaded chicken was just a microwavable chicken patty. The vodka sauce was also some bulk generic sauce. The Leo special was also a microwavable meal.
The only time I have had worse Italian food was in Rome by the Trevi Fountain and it too was all microwaved. Olive Garden and Fazoli’s are both better than what we had here, and that is just sad.
The day after we ate at Luigi’s, we mentioned it to our in-laws who live in Omaha and they said “you should have asked us because we would have told you to avoid that restaurant”.
And that is my recommendation: avoid this restaurant.
I hate writing bad reviews like this, but this restaurant is not good and definitely is not 4.6 stars. We live in the STL where the italian food has an entire area of the city.

Nice looking restaurant, clean and spacious, I like the paintings and open rafters..
Waitress was prompt and knowledgeable, offering recommendations.
Table bread is good and plenty of butter..
Appetizer
Garlic cheese bread..
Buttery, crispy with the right amount of chew, the marinara is good.
Be prepared, this is “garlicky” garlic bread, I love it, my wife says it’s more than she preferred..
Personal preference…
Entrees
Tour of Italy..
My wife and I disagree on this one.
I thought all of it was well done, chicken parm was good, the lasagna was good, as was the fettuccine…3.5/5
My wife was not a fan…
Chefs special
Pasta is perfectly cooked, the shrimp is excellent and so is the chicken, the Alfredo is good, however, it is not the Alfredo you get at chain restaurants, I personally enjoyed it. 4/5
Desert..
Tiramisu, delicious..

While my partner loved their dish and rated it a 5 I personally didn’t enjoy the food however I’m very particular about my food people with a regular style pallet will enjoy it, it was really good portions and customer service was awesome although I didn’t enjoy my food they offered several things to make it right they refunded me and , offered to make me more things. I’m happy to say they were legit , we had the entire place to our selves. They had the lasagna and I had the alfredo , extra tip for future if they seasoned and pan seared the chicken and tweaked the seasonings it would be killer. My opinion of course.

Small and locally owned. May have to wait a few minutes for a table at busy times. Was worth the wait. Huge portions and fair prices. Had the Mozarella Fritta (fried mozzarella) which was good and then the fettuccine carbonara and added chicken to it. Very good. Also had the chicken picatta. This one seemed to lack flavor and did not have a traditional light cream sauce like other local places. The rolls with dinner were also good. Will return.
