I had a great experience at this pizza place thanks to the two kids working the front counter. They were friendly, polite, and welcoming from the start, and they stayed calm and helpful even when it got busy. They answered questions clearly, made sure orders were correct, and treated everyone with respect. Their positive attitudes really stood out and made the visit better. They both did an awesome job and deserve five stars.

I have gotten the Detroit style upside down vodka pie plenty of times and have always loved it! It was my favorite pizza and something i always craved. Tonight I decided to order and I went in and picked it up like I normally do. I got home so excited and as I continued to eat my first slice i realized it’s really chewy. As I looked at it more it was raw dough. So I try another piece and then full piece raw dough again? The corner slices were even raw!!!!!! My dad called and told them what had happened so they put a manager on the phone. The manager said “ok thank you for letting us know I will tell the boys I’m sorry about that”. Didn’t offer to get us a new pizza didn’t offer a refund. The whole pizza went in the garbage.

I used to really like Luigi’s, my husband picks it up for me whenever I’m tired cause it’s my favorite. This time I’m a little sad cause it was not great. The pizza was dry and tasted a bit off. We could not eat a full slice it, it felt like it got freezer burn. We also ordered the vodka pasta and that was okay but it didn’t taste like vodka pasta more like cream and it had pancetta in it, which I don’t mind but wasn’t expecting. I’ve had it before it where it was a lot more saucy with a stronger flavor. Gonna try to give it another shot but I’m a little disappointed.

Cheese pizza was delicious. Cooked well done. Thin crust; Square pie. Nowhere to eat inside unfortunately. It looks like it used to be a sit down restaurant on the one side but it is closed. Takeout only. Semi misleading. Only complaint. There are small tables located outside in the parking lot where you can sit and eat your pizza. Overall experience was worth the trip. Pizza was that good. Worth the stop off the Garden State Parkway.

Another night where I was stuck working in an area I’m not familiar with. I found this little hole in the wall place. What an awful location. If you’re not looking for it you’ll never find it. I figured this place is going to be absolutely awful or tremendously amazing.

I had given up on finding a decent sandwich place in central NJ. $20 for a mediocre sub has become the standard. For under $20 I got a Luigi special. Look at that picture. Nice amount of meat. Not stuffed with lettuce as a filler. Excellent bread. I could barely fit it into my mouth, but fit it i did.
This place was hopping too. As I waited for my sandwich, people just kept coming in for pick up or to dine in. The locals know this place is good. That tells you something.
Thank you, Mr. Luigi, for standing out as a master sub maker. Hats off to you. Next time I’m in the area, and its not 100 degrees out, I’m trying your pizza, my friend.

My wife and I used to love the grandma‘s pie from Luigi‘s. We’ve noticed as of recently the quality has drastically gone downhill tonight we ordered a grandma pie and a salad off of DoorDash when the Dasher arrived he had just the salad and he said that the restaurant did not give him a pizza to deliver. I called the restaurant and one of the kids who answered the phone told me that they gave the pizza to the driver. I told them no worries. I’ll take that up with DoorDash but for now I need a pizza delivered. He said I could place an order through them, but that it would take them about an hour and 45 minutes to deliver it. I asked if I could talk to the manager who got on the phone and apologized and said that it would probably be more like 45 minutes. I gave them my credit card and ordered the pie. Someone showed up to my house 15 minutes later from Luigi’s with an ice cold grandma pie, obviously they did forget to give it to the driver and then blamed it on him. And by the way, the pizza is not as good as it used to be not even close. In an area that’s saturated with great pizza joints. I would actually stay away.

We went to Luigi’s on a Saturday night as a group of six (three couples), and everyone left happy and full.
Getting there can be a little tricky depending on which direction you’re coming from — if you’re turning left, you’ll have to cross a double yellow with traffic waiting at the light, and the restaurant is tucked in the back of a small plaza, so it’s easy to miss the first time. Once you find it though, there’s parking right out front and around the building.
Inside, it’s cozy and casual — the pizza counter is up front, and there’s a small dining room to the left with maybe ten tables total. We had about a 15–20 minute wait at 6:45 p.m. on a Saturday, which wasn’t bad at all. It’s BYOB, and conveniently there’s a liquor store a short walk away near the Acme if you need a bottle of wine.
The staff was excellent — friendly, polite, and efficient. Our waitress opened our wine, brought glasses for the table, and kept everything running smoothly.
We started with the apple walnut cranberry salad, which was fresh, flavorful, and big enough to share. For dinner, we had a mix of dishes: veal parmesan with linguine, chicken parm, mussels, a burger, spaghetti, and a chicken sub. Everyone really enjoyed their meals — hearty portions, great flavor, and cooked perfectly. You’ll have leftovers unless you’ve got a big appetite!
We also tried their pizza since it’s what they’re known for. I had a Sicilian slice and my buddy tried a regular slice — both were delicious, with that classic New Jersey-style flavor that makes it easy to see why they call it “famous.”
For three couples, the total came to about $200 — roughly $66 per couple — which felt very fair for the quality and amount of food we got.
Overall, Luigi’s is a hidden gem in Lincroft. It’s a little tucked away, but definitely worth finding. Great food, friendly service, fair prices, and a comfortable, hometown feel. We’ll absolutely be back.

After that it’s all down hill.
I took 1 look at the pizza, all of it was burned. By the time they reheated it it would have been charcoal.
I asked for penese sauce on my pasta.
They didn’t know what it was !???
How is that possible ?!
So, I opted for a veal parm sandwich.
The veal was not fresh, it the frozen kind. Then, they had tge nerve to put it on a seeded roll. The cook is definitely not Italian. Oh and the forgot the cheese.
My friend played city safe. A cheese burger. It was fair to poor. How is that possible?
Go somewhere else.
