who was there looked at me and went on with her business, then she left, the cooker saw me and said nothing and there was another girl with a laptop apparently studying and nobody said anything, I turned and left, this is one of the main reasons why a business fails because they do not have even 1% of an idea of what customer service is.

I should have taken a picture to post. The ribs, bone in, tasted old. Chewy meat and extreemly dry. The house lo mein equally as bad. We had a large order that had only 4 tiny shrimp in it. All noodles with absolutely no taste & it wasn’t hot. We live right up the street so it isn’t like we had a drive to get there. We had a similar experience last year and decided to boycott the place until now. All done. Quality is inconsistent & a was a waste of our money. Now to get the awful taste out of our mouths.

I have gone to various Chinese food restaurants in the area. Luen Hop is by far the best tasting. Really good General Tso chicken and the home made duck sauce is delicious as well. They are always really nice and welcoming when I get my take out there. Highly recommend this if you are getting Chinese takeout.

This place has been a staple of my living in Middletown for the last 6 years. I’ve watched that family go through exceedingly tough times but they have always served me good food with a smile. Those of you complaining about flavourlessness (not true from my experience), that is no reason to give a 1 star and tell people never to come here. Please, at least try it and decide for yourself. Prices are fair for most menu items too. I recommend the General Tso personally, can’t go wrong.

This place is disgusting and I’ll never be ordering from here again, I ordered my food for delivery with plenty of time to spare and instead of making and handing off my food to the Uber driver they decided to take my money, not make any type of food, close up shop and left me wandering for an hour why it still said “preparing food”. I was shocked at how unprofessional and disgusting these people were and then they had the audacity to only want to refund me for my tip and tax. NEVER AGAIN!!! STAY CLEAR!!!.

First time here and… Blah. Chicken fingers were decent but that’s it. Pork fried rice had no flavor and literally barely had tiny little bits of pork and vegetables. Call it non-existent. The egg roll was half the size tou get anywhere else. And to top it off the elderly woman in back cooking kept wiping her nose with bare hands. No gloves or mask. Another customer even said something to them about it that she should not be touching her face and the food. I won’t be going back.

When we moved to Cromwell we searched for a while for a good Chinese food place. We were sad with what we found until this place. Luen Hop is good, good portion size, and we have ordered regularly since finding. We will happily make the drive to pick it up because it is worth it.
