The smoked meats at Ludy’s are hands down the best around. The ribs are the absolute star…tender with a deep, smoky bark and meat so tender it pulls apart with just a fork. The tri-tip is cooked to juicy perfection with incredible seasoning, and the brisket has just the right amount of fat rendered down to keep it meltingly soft. If you want serious, high-quality BBQ where the meat speaks for itself, this is the spot. Unbeatable!

We heard Ludys had made a return so we had to go grab some food. I got the prime rib sandwich and it tastes pretty good! My wife (who loved the main St Ludys) got the pulled pork sandwich and ate about half. I tried it and we both agreed it did not taste as good as it used to. It seemed overcooked and the flavor was not great. She was definitely disappointed. Our kids got chicken strips and fries, no complaints from them. The portions are large and the staff were super friendly as well!!

My husband and I have lived in woodland for 3 years now and today was the first time we tried Ludy’s! We are IN LOVE. We are always searching for a good BBQ spot and this is the best spot in the sacramento area.
This time around we ordered the family pack with the chicken and tri tip + the baked beans, mac & cheese, and corn bread with honey butter. We are big bbq people and love the smokey taste! I MUST say, Ludy’s does it right! The smoke is just perfect. BBQ sauce is homemade, of course. The owner has won so many awards and appears to have so many amazing employees that want us to enjoy our experience. We were worried that we didn’t choose the brisket as one of the sides for our family order and regretted it, so the cooks gave us a sample of the brisket to take home and it was to die for. We were so thankful they graciously offered us a sample.
And to top it off, the owner was at the restaurant and said hi, introduced himself, and made sure we felt welcome. He invited us back if liked the food and service, and this will definitely be a regular spot for us.
All in all, very pleased with the quality of food, customer service, and environment. Highly recommend. Worth every penny!

I went in two nights ago on Sunday at 8:40 pm and was greeted by Khadijah she was so awesome her aura and vibe are on point ludys give her a raise she even helped packed our food she is so nice also the other people that worked that night were great too but Khadijah is something else usually restaurants have one or the other great food or great service which ludys has both its my first time being back since you guys reopened I use to eat at the Main Street location as a kid with my parents all the time food still taste the same like it used to mind you I live in sacramento but will travel to have your food and to experience great service 🙂

This the best for great BBQ and a enjoyable family experience. Very down home decor and the food is absolutely incredible. Doesn’t matter what you order, the meats are cooked to perfection. There’s something for everyone. Maybe I’m biased because they’ve been in the community for so long. Great family and business. If you haven’t been to Ludy’s BBQ, you’re missing out.

Pretty OK BBQ….
The food was good, but as a first time patron, I was not made to feel welcomed.
This is a counter order, and they bring it to your table, kind of places. The menu board was a bit confusing, and I wanted what I want, and it seemed as though I was bothering the counter guy with questions.
As I said, the food was pretty good BBQ, a bit pricey, but fair for the portion size.
The restaurant is located in a cute section of town, with a lot of little stores. Perfect for an after dinner walk
