A trailer with a couple of tables. Always busy. Had a tasty California Burrito. Steak, potatoes, cheese, salsa. And had one red sauce, and one green sauce. Both taste great and spicy.

I had a grilled chicken taco and cream cheese churro for dinner. They were both very good. Service was fast and friendly. I would definitely return next time I’m in town.

Just got to town and went to Lucy’s
Great spot on the corner, its a make shift food trailer with a indoor/ outdoor seating area. Large menu, great food. People showed up behind around dinner time

My husband picked up food there today for the first time in over a year. The price is outrageous now. The quesadillas had barely any cheese but were swimming in grease to the point of being inedible. The California burrito had almost zero French fries in it. My husband got all the way home and realized they had forgotten a whole order of asada fries. When he tried to call them multiple times he got no answer and had to drive all the way back to town to ask for a refund. They don’t skimp on the meat, but the only flavor it has is one of straight up salt. I’m so disappointed. Lucy’s was always a favorite of ours, we just hadn’t been in a while. But now we will not be going back.

This place use to be so good but last few years it’s gone down hill we stoped going. We tried a month wasn’t great but wasn’t bad and got charged for our food we never received and refused to help. Today we got bacon green chili cheese fries. There was no green chili like 0 and the bacon had no flavor, it tasted out of date and like it was cooked in very old oil that was left in the pan for weeks and fries were dry i had to drown in cheese abd Tabasco.

I’ve been coming to Lucy’s for years, but this place has completely fallen apart compared to what it used to be. I ordered three breakfast burritos and a side of green chili. This should’ve been $36.20. They charged me $57.69 with zero explanation!!! When I questioned it, the guy just said “tax” and shrugged his shoulders. He was unable to provide an itemized receipt and any logical reason for the extra $20.
This is unacceptable, and I’ll be disputing with my bank. The food and service is nothing like it used to be.

We were just driving through and found this place. Best and biggest breakfast burrito I’ve ever had from a food truck. Authentic and delicious.

Outstanding taco truck. I had a taco combo plate. Everything was delicious. They have inside and outside seating. There is also a restroom. I would eat here all the time if I lived in LA Junta.

The food here was amazing and authentic! We had a breakfast platter and some of their tacos! We liked it so much we placed a second order. It’s right off the main road and worth the stop!!

Lucy’s Tacos was as complete an experience as you’ll get from a food truck. Service was prompt and friendly. I like that there is an indoor climate controlled dining room adjacent to the food truck, in addition to outdoor seating. I can tell this place is a local favorite in La Junta. I was lucky to arrive just before a long line formed for the lunch rush.

The menu is OK, but without as many food options as I’d hoped. The standard Colorado taco options of carne asada, pork adobada, and carnitas were available, along with carne asada fries.

I ordered the carne asada platter and have mixed feelings about it. The tacos were very amply sized, properly served with two tortillas each, and tasted delicious. But as is unfortunately common in Colorado, the meat was greasy and overly processed (cut up into tiny pieces). The beans were freshly prepared and I appreciate that, but I was surprised by an unexpected grassy taste.

Was it worth the 90 minute drive from Fountain? No. But I wouldn’t be surprised if these are the best tacos you’ll get in the area. Very filling, tasty, and affordably priced.
