Hot dogs & beer dished up a cool hangout with surfer & skateboarding decor, plus outdoor seats.

Dropped by this restaurant this afternoon for a lunch visit after hearing great things. Both my husband and I very much enjoyed our dogs. Chili meat on the Dunes was a bit overcooked (burnt bits) and the hot Cheetos dust on the Otters are definitely a little stale. We enjoyed our meal (tots were indeed crispy and tasty) and would return if in the area. Agree with other reviews that the meal is pricey (40 bucks for two people is pretty steep for two hot dogs and tater tots).
Response: typically I don’t do this, but sure, let’s go. Yeah ok, we ordered two cans of soda too. The shady correction on the pricing is still shady. We paid $40. Sales tax is real, but it’s like a $10 hot dog. Given that the chili was burnt and toppings stale, I think that’s important in the review. I know you won’t really miss us, but all the same we’ll forego coming back. Happy new year.

Loved the kitsch! Surfboards and skateboards dominate the decor. The hot dogs were good, but came out lukewarm.
Dog friendly.

A fun place with lots of creative hot dogs, sides, and ice cream and coffee, so why 3 stars?
1) it’s pricy! $12 average for a small dog, with no sides or drink?
2) only a sub-par (soft boiled tasteless) veggie dog as an alternative non beef option. How about turkey dogs for those that don’t want to eat red meat or intelligent animals?
3) it’s SLOW! It took 20-30 minutes for 2 hot dogs, lemonade took 15 minutes to come out.
I want to love this place, and I’m willing to revisit and come back, but some basic changes would have to happen to have it live up to its huge potential as a cool, fun locals hang-out for the area!

Recommended by friends and we knew of it from driving by and wanting to check out their outdoor seating. The selection of hot dogs was amazing. From Mac and cheese, pulled pork to kimchi, you’ll find things you never even knew you’d love on a hot dog. The dogs all by themselves are delicious! Do not, DO NOT skip the tots! Crispy and the toppings are fantastic. We also had the Brussels sprouts. We look forward to returning here again!

The hot dogs are tasty, thick, and served with a wide array of toppings! You should leave full, but your wallet will be a little lighter. The four of us (including a 7 year old) were in for almost $80 with water to drink.

Loved everything about it from the moment we pulled into the parking lot. One, it has its own lot. The vibe starts there. One side of lot is lined with surf boards with , some with sayings. Leave your car and walk through the outdoor shaded patio with lots of seating. This place was hopping. Walk through the door there is so much to look at. The menu boards include hot dogs all kinds of ways, tots with all the toppings, coffee drinks, ice cream, and one of my favorites , hibiscus tea. Order at the counter and take a seat. They bring your food out. Music playing, busy. You can tell people are enjoying just being there. But this dog…..I ordered the Lover’s Point, so goooood! I was hungry so you have to weigh that in but no doubt , yummo! Also had the kick flip, not quite as good as the dog but still worth a go. Service was fast and friendly. Definite recommend if you like dogs, tots, I e cream or coffee drinks.

This skateboarding themed eatery is legit, no cap just high-quality finger food. First the hot dogs are top shelf no matter how you dress them up. I tried pulled pork and grilled onions on my bacon wrapped dog. I was impressed by the pulled pork and believe that this one item could feed 2 people. Of course I had to try the corn dogs, crunchy sweet outer layer big juicy dog inside. Next I am not a big fan of tater tots however these were probably the best tots I have ever had. They are big crunchy outside soft inside basically perfect tots. Tots take the place of fries here, not my choice but definitely tasty and come in a variety of flavors. I got a blunt, that’s code for coleslaw and it was delicious not to sweet, just simple delicious coleslaw, perfect to break up the calorie fest . I didn’t try the Brussel sprouts but they are very popular here and the ice cream options are highly rated as well. Very clean establishment, nice outside tables wrapped around the building. They had very pleasant 80s and 90s music, my favorite playing over the speakers inside and out. Weekends they have live music outside on the patio. I’m a skatborder for life and seeing pictures of the ramp I helped build and skated with close friends up on the wall at Lucy’s was a surprise and brought back memories. Watching so many locals coming in for grub was great, children seem to love this place. So if you are reading this stop wondering and just go. One last thing yes grom dogs are 3 dollars however most items are priced to match the quality they deliver.
