Jim Thompson first opened Lucy Blue as a late night pizza window at 12th & Walnut in the Over the Rhine section of Cincinnati, in 2001. Through the years there have been several locations, including Mt. Lookout, Covington, & Main Street OTR. We’re now located in both Anderson Twp. & Downtown Cincinnati (OTR)! Being family owned & operated, our goal has always been to serve a fresh, great tasting pizza while providing our patrons with a vibrant and comfortable atmosphere to socialize and enjoy all that Lucy has to offer!

The pizza arrived promptly, cooked to perfection, and the crust was simply amazing! As food enthusiasts, we were particularly impressed by the added herbs that enhanced the flavor, transforming the crust into a meal in itself!
Jim, the friendly owner, shared captivating family memories and fascinating insights into the city’s history, making our visit even more memorable. The conversation flowed effortlessly, and the pizza was nothing short of fabulous—one of the best we’ve had during our numerous travels.
I will definitely be using them again and their physical location is so beautiful! The buffalo pizza was hands down my favorite. As a blue cheese hate I was THRILLED to finally get a slice of buffalo pizza with no blue cheese!
Service- ordered online, Valentine’s Day(busy). Food received from uber driver not concealed with any type of restraints such as tape, staples or reciept attached.
Order- 16” Supreme pizza cold, bland and soggy. Garden salad, with extra Italian dressing was not in the order. Never delivered. Italian sub sandwich, decent.
Tried to reach out to address the issue, hard to make contact. Phoned and emailed. Would not recommend.
The Thai pizza itself was a culinary masterpiece. The crust was thin and crispy, providing a great foundation for the fusion of flavors. The sauce was a delectable blend of sweet and savory with just the right amount of spice, reminiscent of classic Thai food.
Lucy Blue’s warm and inviting atmosphere, combined with their expertly crafted Thai pizza, makes it a must-visit spot in OTR Cincinnati. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place offers a unique and delicious twist on pizza that is sure to leave you wanting more.
Now their slice is outstanding. I’d wager it could rival any of legendary NYC pizza joint. I mean, it’s the real-deal NY slice.
If I thought the notion would find purchase, I’d suggest to them paint over the blue accents on the ceiling frescoes like those in Grand Central Station; and/or just some puffy clouds to retain the signature blue a la “Lucy Blue.”
It really is a remarkable hue of blue.
Lots of pizza options including BYO (build-your-own) with good side sauces. They also have salads, apps and even some desserts.
The dining area is nice and kept clean. It’s located on the corner of Vine & 13th in OTR, so it’s convenient to dine in or pick up orders.
