A group of us traveled from Indianapolis to Louisville and chose Lucretia’s to celebrate my cousin’s Chi-Chi’s birthday and the experience was amazing. The service and food was awesome. We were honored to meet Lucretia in person and her vibe and energy was dope. She was so sweet and attentive and was truly a friendly person. Love at first bite is truly what it was. Thank you Lucretia for an unforgettable experience. We will definitely be back!!!! And last but not least our waitress was the bomb

While I’ve been to Lucretia’s previous place on Ali but this was my first time to this location. There’s off street parking, which was nice. When we walked in at opening (11am), we were warmly greeted and given the options of the day. We decided to have the buffet and proceeded to seat ourselves. With the music playing, the atmosphere was real nice. As for the food, the sides were just being put on the buffet but the meats were 18 minutes from being brought out. That’s one of the drawbacks that I had. The other was the warming trays didn’t keep the food as hot as i prefer but it was warm. Once the meats were brought out, we both had pork chops along with mac & cheese, green beans, and cabbage. And everything was DELICIOUS! In fact, all the food was delicious as has ALWAYS been the case with Lucretia’s!! We will DEFINITELY be returning.

I found this spot on TikTok while visiting Louisville, and it did not disappoint. The food was very good—especially the fried chicken, which was perfectly cooked with a nice crunch. The sweet potatoes and macaroni were also excellent. Our waitress was attentive, even while helping a large party. The food did take a little while to come out, but that’s expected when everything is cooked to order. Even the owner, Lucretia, came out from the back to greet customers, which was a really nice touch. Overall, a great experience!

We went to Lucretia’s a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday evening after Mass at St. Louis Bertrand. The place was very warm and cozy inside. It has off street parking and that is a nice plus. Our server was very friendly and efficient. The food was awesome. If you like good home cooked food this is the place. Two of us had the salmon croquettes and two had the fried chicken. We had greens, green beans, Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes as sides. Everything was delicious. The croquettes were just like my Mom used to make. We were also very blessed to meet Lucretia who is very warm and personable. I highly recommend Lucretia’s Kitchen.

I thoroughly enjoyed my dinning experience. The atmosphere was comfortable the music was enjoyable but, the food was the star. I ordered fried chicken, collard greens, and cabbage. All tasted homemade with love. Next time I will definitely order dessert. Fyi, the pink lemonade was a cup of happiness to my taste buds. Perfect amount of sweetness .

Be patient, they get busy and as with a lot of restaurants, they don’t have a ton of staff. So, gossip with your friends/fam, make each other laugh and be patient. Because it is WORTH IT!
The catgish was huge, the smothered pork chops were seriously fall apart, melt in your mouth delicious. The fried chicken and lemon pepper wings were so crispy, so seasoned and juicy. The mac and cheese was so cheesy and well seasoned. The green beans were sooooo good. They were perfectly cooked, so savory and I swear I could have eaten a huge bowl.
We’re going back to try more, for sure! Highly recommend.

Being the 3rd patron in the restaurant. ( Friday @ 630 pm)The people ahead of us got their order one at a time and there was 4 of them as well as 4 of us. We weren’t informed before we got our food that we would need to substitute items as they had No peach cobbler, no dressing. So what I wanted as well as another member in my group couldn’t order what they originally order. The waitresses other than bringing out lemonade and sprites never came back to the table in over 30 minutes as it took an hour for food and only 3:tables of customers. I heard good things drove over 22 minute to be disappointed.

I’m going to be honest….. The wait for your food is absolutely annoying… 3 people and we waited an hour for our food… food presentation is kool but honestly the taste of the food is mediocre.. you can literally make everything on her menu at home… if you never been before try it for yourself… that’s my family’s 3rd time going and were satisfied… My wife and i asked for the croquettes to be fried lightly and they still came out hard… why send it back? it’ll take another hour… my moms “chicken wings” were chicken ankles… 100% NOT wings at all.. very little meat on them… the waiter lady was doing everything.. taking orders for tables and to go.. answering phone… tending the bar.. OHHH and the “bar” isn’t a bar they have 4 choices and that’s it… the shots at $10 and shouldn’t be that for the half a pour they give you… i certainly won’t be back 3rd strike you’re out. Wish she’d do a tat bit better
