I’ve been wanting to try this place out for so long and finally got around to giving them a try. I will say the food was okay and the customer service was also okay. The lady who was taking orders read someone’s card number OUT LOUD while there were customers waiting. So be cautious if you’re calling your order in and giving your card over the phone…

I got a beef with mozzarella and Au jus on the side and an order of mozzarella sticks.
The container that my Au jus came in was melted and half of my mozzarella sticks were over cooked and the cheese was fully melted and hollow.

My husband got the garlic beef wrap and asked for nacho cheese inside of it but did not got nacho cheese inside of it.

Not sure if we’ll give this place a try again unfortunately.

Pizza is one of the four basic food groups where we live. But a lot of the pizza in town frankly isn’t very good.

This place is. They are seriously upping their pizza game at Luconi’s. They take serving fresh products, very seriously, to the point where they will close rather than serve dough that isn’t ready or inferior cheese. That’s serious commitment.

And it shows in their work. There’s just a right amount of crispness in the crust. The cupping in the pepperoni is perfect. You can taste the freshness in the food. That takes dedication, and we appreciate it. Is it a little more expensive than it used to be? Absolutely. But you get what you pay for. And we will pay for this time over some lousy, generic pizza joint.

We stopped in during the soft opening for the pizza buffet, upon arriving the seating was limited, we had 6 in our party.
The dining room was a bit tight and getting to the buffet was a challenge….
The pizza was very tasty, sauce was delicious with just the right amount of ingredients, cooked to perfection..
The down side was the extremely hot pizza oven, I suggest the door be removed to prevent someone getting burnt.
The salad was extremely fresh, asked for an additional side of dressing and was not charged .
Understandably they just opened and need to work out a few kinks, will definitely return for a follow up visit…
Overall, good food for a great price, keep it up..

I wanted to give Luconi’s a try since it’s been taken over by a new owner. So we ordered take out. And Isaiah seems like a good guy, but the food left a lot to be desired. The thing that bothered me the most (because it was so simple) was that the french fries were barely done. They were so undercooked that we had to put them in the air fryer in order for them to be edible. Maybe he had a lot of orders and was rushing to get food done fast? I don’t know. Also, we had rib tips. We got sauce on the side. The meat without sauce wasn’t good. It seemed like it had been boiled. Not smoked, or even put on a grill. There was no smokey flavor or any flavor at all. Just bland boiled meat pieces. Not even gonna try and tell you about the other things we ordered. It was an extremely disappointing experience.

Luconi’s is back open and under new ownership! My husband loved the garlic beef wrap, but under the previous owners I refused to go. When I heard it was back and new owners we gave it a chance and I am so glad we did! Mini arcade games to play while you wait and Rory and team are attentive and friendly! I had the Italian beef and fried mushrooms; both were delicious and the boys loved their pizza! Make sure you get some of the house garlic butter to enhance your sandwich! Rory said it was for the pizza, but I spread it on my sandwich too and it was the best decision.

Ordered take out pizza. First visit, last visit! Totally disappointed! Over $80 for three pizzas and a small salad! The order was wrong or we got someone else order! The pizza was cold, the veggie pizza -tiny bits of peppers from a freezer bag! They left out the onions, too! and it had pepperoni on it. ( we didn’t want ask for any pepperoni) The cheeseburger pizza was barbecued chicken, not cheeseburger, and the 1/2 sausage 1/2 pepperoni the bottom crust was tough and burnt. That pizza must of had hot sauce on it, or something really spicy. Don’t think they were too busy, we were the only people in there on a Saturday night. Feel awful that we spent all that money for such terrible food.

I declare Luconi’s the best pizza place in Kankakee county. The outside is so fun and inviting. The inside is filled with fun art and nostalgic video games. The staff is warm and welcoming. As someone who avoids dairy and meat, they allowed me to bring in my own dairy-free cheese. The result? Top-notch spectacular. Thank you so much for the pleasant experience and delicious pizza!!!!!!

My son treated me to Luconi’s for a belated Mother’s Day meal. We ordered a 12″ IDK original crust pizza and it was fantastic. The owner and employees were very friendly as well. The remodel looks awesome!! Glad they reopened.

I ordered pickup. I started by asking if the menu was about the same as before they closed. She said yeah, but pointed out some differences for me. I said “do you still have the deep dish pizza?” She said “yeah, it’s not deep dish with the sauce on top though, it’s thicker crust.” I said “but is it the same Deep Dish Double Crust Luconis used to have?” and she said yeah. So I ordered a medium deep dish and small thin crust. The picture here is what they gave me instead of a deep dish double crust, which I think would be better described as a pan pizza. It was about the same size as the small thin crust, but slightly thicker crust. This little guy cost $17, the small thin crust one topping was $15, if I remember correctly, I was mainly focused on that $17. I’m guessing they don’t have that pizza yet. I’ll try again if I hear they have the deep dish back, but this was just a disappointing return for me.
