Had a fantastic dinner at Lucky’s recently! We ordered the by strip with Roquefort cheese (highly recommend) as well the shrimp cocktail & crab cocktail which were also very good! Service was a standout with our very friendly waiter Eric, and Diego was amazing! We had a small baby and Diego checked in very frequently to make sure we were good and went above and beyond to give us great recs, and even bring us items to elevate our experience!

Overall the vibe of this steakhouse, service, and food made for a very fun night as we were celebrating a milestone in our lives. We thought the molten cake and coconut cake were just ok, but the martini was also excellent

The filet mignon is absolutely delicious. We paired it with our favorite sides – the creamed spinach and mac‘and cheese. What a decadent dinner! I couldn’t eat like this all the time. But incredibly tasty for a special occasion dinner Our server was super sweet too. And we got our table way before we were supposed to be seated. Lovely evening ❤️

Wine not!?
We did a lot of homework to make sure my 50th birthday was a good one. We chose Lucky’s Montecito and Santa Barbara specifically for their great wine selection. We would typically head up to Harris Steakhouse in San Francisco as we consider it one of the top in the country. Our food was up to par and no complaints in that department. We did basic filets with a few sides and the girlfriend liked her French Onion Soup. This is an extremely noisy restaurant and you will need to speak very loudly just across your small table in order to hear. We were there on a Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. and it was packed. Overall the place has a very rushed feel. I get it, they have a great reputation. I was there to spend up to $1,000 on a bottle of wine. When I asked for the sommelier, They said he would come over. Instead, one of the waiters came over and introduced him also as a “som”. Maybe my cashmere sweater looked a little more like the gym type. Very rushed, and then when asked to decant a Bordeaux, he said it didn’t need it. Dude, if I’m spending over $250 or $600 on dinner.. decant my wine. We would never recommend this restaurant and are not coming back. Quite frankly, I’m pretty sure they just lied to my face and did not send the Som over. We were definitely a little bit tired from a long day of hiking and the pre-drink at Miramar. But hey my guy, I will be cheersing you on my 9-day Tuscan trip next month.

We’ve dined at Lucky’s a few times now, and the food has been consistently outstanding. We visit steakhouses often, but this one has quickly become our new favorite. The sides are incredible, and the steaks are always cooked perfectly.

During our most recent visit, we experienced a longer wait than usual for our meal. When we mentioned it to the manager, Larry, he addressed it immediately and made sure the rest of our dining experience was excellent. The food was, as always, delicious and well worth the wait — but the exceptional service is what truly sets this place apart.

A big thank you to Larry and Rudy for always being so welcoming and for consistently providing a wonderful experience.

Possibly the best meatballs in the USA. Who gets meatballs at a steakhouse? This guy. My wife is the steak fan, and the steak was very enjoyable.

But back to the meatballs – the texture was as perfect as any meatball you’ve ever met. Not overly processed, but it didn’t fall apart when you sliced off a hunk. And the flavor was delightful, just a hint of spices and highest quality meats mixed in there. Oh that stuff was good. If I lived here I might go in nightly just for the meatballs.

Beautiful atmosphere inside. Wine cellar seemed like a big deal, extensive wine list. Attentive service. We will definitely return… Try the meatballs!

Food was great, especially the calamari and golden beets. The bread was also a delicious touch, freshly baked apparently! The staff was attentive, but this review is mostly for Carolyn— not only was she an absolute hoot, but her reviews and suggestions for the food were all spot on.

Amazing anticipation for a first class experience, however the noisy crowded dining room started things off poorly.
Great waiter was apologetic for the slow service from the kitchen, I even mentioned it to one of the managers, and finally our great porterhouse was delivered much after the side dishes had been 1/2 consumed!
We were near the kitchen door, so we couldn’t miss the confusion the staff had, an experience that I’d not like to repeat!
I’m sure that they could do better!

Let me tell you. Lucky’s is where dreams go to sizzle and dignity goes to die. I strolled in feeling like a Wall Street cowboy ready to whisper sweet nothings to a tomahawk ribeye. The waiter took one look at me, did a quick sobriety scan with his third eye of judgment, and said, “Sir, not tonight.”

Apparently, enthusiasm and a slight lean to the left now count as intoxication. I wasn’t drunk, I was emotionally well-seasoned. But Lucky’s didn’t care. The only thing they served me was humility with a side of fresh air out front.

The vibe? Stunning. The steak I didn’t eat? Probably life-changing. The shame spiral? Perfectly medium rare.
