Quite possibly the best bowl of chili I’ve ever been served at a place that isn’t a chili place. If that doesn’t make sense, DM me.
The chili is served in a crock that’s straight out of the oven. Basically a bowl of molten lava is set on your table and then you have to balance risk/reward on when to take your first bite. Topped with molten cheese with Fritos baked in. On top of that, the chili is really good. Very meaty, mild/medium heat. Thick and delicious!
For my main, I took my server’s recommendation on the Korean fried chicken and turned it into a wrap. It was a great sandwich! Chicken was fully cooked but still juicy and tender. The Asian slaw added some interesting layers to the flavors of the dish and the sauces served alongside were spot-on, especially the peanut sauce in the wrap.
Solomon was my waiter. Great recommendations that were spot on and attentive without hovering.
Really solid experience all around!
Drinks were good and not badly priced. Over all, we enjoyed ourselves, happy with the service and food and staff. A little loud (but that was more due to the large table top next us), so can’t say if that’s the norm or not. When back in the Fargo area, we’d hit Lucky’s 13 back up again!
They have a great menu selection. Hubby got the Philly steak and cheese sandwich with onion rings. He thought it was really good. Said the au ju(sp?) seemed a bit on the salty side but really enjoyed it. I would just like to say while your onion rings are delicious WE don’t care for how thick they are, prefer less wide. I ordered the walleye fingers as I wasn’t real hungry. They were just right, very good, batter light and tasty.
We will definitely return and would recommend.
First the obvious; the food’s great, the vibe is amazing, and the staff are super chill and laid back but miracle workers with time/people management.
But now the super individual thing;
There’s a regional beer on the East Coast that’s been around for *hundreds* of years called Yuengling. It’s what I think of when someone says “beer”. But they don’t sell past Ohio for logistical reasons.
I say all that because this spot has a house brew that is hands down the *closest* any other beer has gotten to Yuengling. It’s a borderline clone, and I say that as a MASSIVE compliment. Really hope they keep it around!
Stay amazing Lucky’s. Love you guys!
This place offers some much. The drinks are good the food is excellent-the staff are tentative and kind- the ladies love the bingo. I guarantee you’ll try it once and you’ll be back for sure.
