In October 2007 we opened Lucky’s 13 Pub in Mendota, MN. After eleven years in the village, we thought Axels needed a neighbor, a friend down the road.

No reservation needed, easy parking, and the atmosphere is pretty nice.
We ordered the L13 tots, great for sharing, really tasty. The turkey & wild rice soup was perfect for winter, a bit on the salty side. The sirloin steak, though, was pretty dry and just okay.
Dessert was good, but definitely something to share, there’s no way one person can finish it.

We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning and were seated right away. The waitress was very friendly and checked back on us several times. We ordered the breakfast sandwich, eggs benedict, and beignets. The breakfast sandwich was huge! Eggs, sausage, ham, bacon, and cheese all on one sandwich. Couldn’t quite finish it, but was very good. The eggs benedict were, unfortunately, overcooked. The beignets were good, but were a bit different and could use some more powdered sugar. They use a Croissant dough, but I would say it’s definately worth a try. Overall, the breakfast was decent and affordable.

Nice place to stop for dinner. Food was good. Service was great. We ordered walleye appetizer, a burger with onion rings, reuben sandwich with French onion soup. Very clean and nice atmosphere. I would come again.

Lucky 13 Pub is a fantastic spot for late-night dining, staying open later than most restaurants in the area. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for unwinding after a long day. The service is attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. I particularly loved the Cesar salad and onion soup combo, which was fresh and flavorful.

I wanted this to be a 5-star experience but it just wasn’t. Really debated between 3 and 4 stars. The food, drinks, menu, and atmosphere were excellent. What killed it for me was the service. Very lacking, when we could get service it was from random people and half of them didn’t seem overly friendly. Our waitress seemed very short. Hardly had a chance to order anything. I had to stop her from running away so I could order a drink. The hostess was nice and so was one of the helper girls. Hard time ordering food, hard time ordering drinks, hard time getting the check.

Rounding up a little bit here. Our service was pretty slow and often nonexistent. It appears that the waitress we had was covering the outdoor patio and the furthest away section of the inside dining room. So we learned to ask for multiple things at once – knowing it would be a while before she came back with what we needed. She was super nice though.
From the outside this place almost made me think it was a biker or dive bar kind of thing. But once we walked in the vibe was completely different. Very decor, clean tables and place settings. Neat vibe.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food! That giant pretzel on the appetizer menu was amazing! And the cheese curds are insane!! I’d totally go back here.

Never have a bad experience at this place. Great menu selection with large portions. Bull bites and walleye tacos are my favorites but seems like what ever dish i order i am never disappointed. I visit from out of town at least twice a month for business and Lucky’s 13 Pub has become one of my favorites places to eat when I’m in town. Indoor and outdoor seating but everything we sit outside the service seems to suffer. Highly recommended.

As of now, anytime I’m in Minneapolis, I’ll visit Lucky’s. Everything was fantastic. I had a Bloody Mary Flight with soup (Zuppa Toscana) and a Greek salad. The waitress, bartender, and manager were super hospitable. I was pleasantly surprised with my first visit. Thank you

I’m here from Chicago. The front desk clerk at hotel recommended. Been here 3 days and haven’t eaten any decent food until Lucky 13. Ruben sandwich & onions rings. Also walleye fingers seasoned & good as well. Mike waited on us . Great customer service.
