This place has new owner. And it has excellent Cantonese style Chinese food. Compared to other places that we went, the portion is huge, delicious and worth your money. We left with a full tummy. We went in on a Sunday evening for dinner, all the stores in the area closed except for this restaurant, so it was quiet. There was 7 people in our group, we ordered several dishes and they all came out very quick. The dishes were delicious and big portion. Service was good, we didn’t have to wait long. The inside has been remodeled and look nice.

The restaurant is called Lucky Wok, but unfortunately, luck was not on our side this evening.
We made a reservation for 7 people and arrived promptly at 6:30 p.m. Our order—7 dishes total—was placed within 15 minutes. At the time, there were only two other tables with two people each, plus a few takeout orders waiting.
Despite this, we didn’t receive our first dish until 8:00 p.m. The next four dishes arrived sporadically, with 15–30 minute gaps between them. By 8:40 p.m., we decided we could not wait any longer and asked for the remaining dishes to be cancelled.
While we did receive apologies, it would have been far better if the staff had been upfront about the long delays. Instead, we were repeatedly told, “It’s coming, it’s coming,” while time continued to tick by and nothing was served.
The experience completely ruined our dinner. Everyone was hungry and uncomfortable, trying to stay patient so as not to make things worse. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience and not one we would choose to repeat.

Our party of 7 arrived at the restaurant at 6.20pm. After taking our orders, we waited for half hour before the waiter filled our empty pot of chinese tea. Everyone in our party was getting very hungry. I walked up to the kitchen door n told the server the kitchen needs to speed up the order as my elderly mum was very hungry. We were told food will be served shortly. Another 40 minutes later, we were finally served the vegetable and soup. After waiting another 15 minutes, they served the Peking pork and fried fish. We had another 2 dishes in queue but everyone was very frustrated and mad that we decided to cancel the 2 remaining dishes. It was obvious the restaurant was very short handed as more than 10 customers were waiting for more than an hour for the carryouts. It was obvious everyone waiting for the food were very mad for the long wait. Dine in customers literally had no service for lack of manpower.
Terrible experience for the 1.45 hours waiting time and we only got part of our food and the long wait time before next dish is served. Will not come back again.

Came and tried the new Hawaiian/Chinese fusion BBQ plate–so unique and don’t know of anyone else offering this in the KC area! It was delicious, the chicken and short ribs had excellent flavor and were tender. The Katsu was very fresh and crispy and the homemade macaroni salad added a nice creamy element. It was delicious and a huge portion! Will definitely be back

This place is unassuming from the outside, but the food is absolutely top notch Chinese take-out, i got the Ma Po tofu with pork and it was incredible. The crab Rangoon are also the best I’ve had in KC, I don’t know why they’re so much crisper and meatier.

Being from the NY Metro area, this is as good as most NY/NJ restaurants. Egg drop soup was fantastic with NO corn, carrots, peas, or any other junk, just how it should be. The lunch menu is great and worth it. Fast service for lunch. Good parking and easy to find.
