The food was subpar. The chow mein was underseasoned and the fried rice was cold. The peking pork was gelatinous and scary looking. The salt and pepper chicken was good and spicy though. The customer service was great. The atmosphere was quiet. There wasn’t many people in the restaurant. They might be better if you dine in but I don’t think I can try this place again.

Very nice clean restaurant. On today’s visit I ordered the orange chicken and chicken chow mein, and a side order of Mongolian beef.

The orange chicken was great. The glaze had a crispy crunch like you’d want if you were eating fried chicken. The sweetness was low but balanced with the orange flavor and had pleasant subtle flavoring. Total perfection.

The chicken chow mein was cooked perfectly. The noodles were lightly coated and the flavor was light but perfect and balanced well with the orange chicken.

The Mongolian beef was excellent, came with a healthy dose of veggies, and had multiple flavors that danced on the tongue. The oils added an enhanced but light subtle flavor. In my photos I took a photo of the dish, and half the dish so you could see the oils. The oils were also great to lightly toss my chow mein with the veggies to enhance the flavor even more. The only down side was their was zero spicy and hear factor to the Mongolian beef. Your grandparents could safely eat it. Im used to my Mongolian beef being spicy with a good kick of heat to my palette. However this is my first visit to lucky wok and I am factoring in I should’ve asked as some restaurants customize heat to the customer’s request and use mild to low spicy/heat by default.

The combination plate also comes with a soup of the day for free on dine-in orders only. Today’s soup of the day was an excellent egg drop soup. It was delightful. Full of subtle flavor, and that wonderful broth which is rich and thick.

There was plenty of seating and the interior has a nice chic vibe and atmosphere. The ac was just right for comfort. The staff was friendly, polite, and attentive.

I’d recommend this spot for a family outing, or for lunch or dinner on the go as they specialize in take out and delivery.

Food was so good. Ordered the salt and pepper fried pork. I literally went back 2 days later and ordered another chow mein and salt and pepper pork.

So I just went to Lucky Wok and my Grandson and I were going to order Food dine in and the first waitress that came to us was very nice but then she did not come back in a white dude came over to us with black hair with a red shirt and he was just ugly. I mean my grandson is definitely a child and he asked us is the order separate. My grandson is 12 years old. He’s coming in to eat with me and I looked at him and said it’s together we couldn’t figure out how we wanted to make the order, but he had such a nasty attitude the way he was talking he was talking to us like as a matter of fact, or you know like at the time without being slick at the time so his behavior was so nasty and his breast smell like cheese I said just forget it we’ll just go somewhere else and as I was walking out, my grandson heard him say Too bad too bad. I don’t know how to read the menu like I didn’t know how to read, and as he spoke to me about a order, he said you said, is chicken, beef, shrimp, but there was no commas on the list. There was red line And his behavior was so nasty. I just didn’t want to eat there no more I just felt you don’t need my business. You must be rich so I left, but I came back because of what my grandson told me he heard him say and I said FYI I do know how to read and my grandson hurt what you said, and he tried to deny that he said it, but my Grandson everything that he said so from my opinion in my visit there, I say don’t eat there and if I had to give it a I had to give it a star to make the review but they don’t deserve any stars with me like they don’t deserve any star. They need a F plus because of him, but he was horrible. Terrible customer service and I am African-American. I think he was trying to make me curse him out But it’s not worth it. This is not my establishment you missed out on $40 worth of ordering so that’s for sure and they should definitely fire you no tip for you either like I tip good too so we’re on our way to another Chinese restaurant instead on Watt ave by A street. They missed out on the business by they’re too good or he thought he was too good for our business to where he could talk to us any kind of way I’m talking on the mic so it might be some typos in here, but it was so funny because after he found out, we weren’t going to eat there it’s like he showed his true colors and said that I did not know how to read, but I know how to read. It was just your prices are too high for your behavior Like if you’re gonna give somebody a behavior everything should be five dollars and it was empty. Nobody was in there. The atmosphere was like boxes everywhere. but I went in there because I used to go in there a long time ago when it was different management in the business was thriving. It wasn’t thriving anymore F plus RF minus for this business and I will be going to a different Chinese restaurant. they did not even look like he was Asian or anything ruining the company business and I will be calling the company making a complaint to on top of this review. It’s good thing that I did not have my TikTok on because most of the time when we go to a restaurant, my grandson and I we do a review But this time I wasn’t thinking about a review I was just trying to take him to get something to eat So we went to Wong’s instead of WATT Avenue The pictures are from Wong’S not lucky Wok

This isn’t the worst General Chicken I’ve ever had, but it’s close. The breading is soggy and falling off the chicken. It’s also mostly flavorless. I’m lucky there is extra sauce on the bottom of the to go container.
They also charge $3.50 for a medium soda.
I won’t be going back.

Food was soggy. I ordered orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, walnut shrimp, fried rice, chow main, egg rolls and some kind of beef. Three stars for the service just because it was quick but one star for the food because there was more batter than meat and it was soggy on top of that. Spent over $100 on food that hopefully will crisp in my oven or air fryer. Next time I’ll drive the distance for quality Chinese food to go where I normally would go. Picture of orange chicken to show what I’m talking about.

Came here with my daughter for dinner. I bought a groupon a while back and decided to try it.

We were seated right away and drink order taken.

I ordered the general chicken with the chow mein and my daughter ordered the sweet and sour pork with chow mein.

The portions are huge. It came out hot and fresh. I loved the flavor of sauce. The chicken was crispy and so good. The chow mein was good too. I wished it had a little more sauce…but still good. I would for sure come here again.

My daughters sweet and sour was good. She let me try it. Pork crispy and fresh… The sauce was really good.

The portions are HUGE! I had the sweet and sour pork and my lady had the general chicken. The pork was tender on the inside and had a satisfying crunch. The general chicken was a tad salty, but it was lathered in a delicious sauce. I wish the general chicken was a bit spicier, but I didn’t actually ask to see if they could do that. Staff is incredibly nice and attentive. I’m coming back to this place for sure. $10 for a meal that has a mountain of leftovers is worth it, especially since it’s good food. Highly recommend.

Update: Came back a week later to find they have a lunch special everyday. $8 for a mountain of food. Worth it.

Amazing food portions for the price, however it lacks flavor and salt. I got a combination plate for takeout with Broccoli Chicken & Chicken Chow-Mein. I was amazed that their Chow-Mein did come with chicken but the chicken was disappointing as it tasted as if there was no seasoning added (needed more garlic and ginger), almost gamey in a sense. It was quite oily as well. Broccoli Chicken was alright, same issue with chicken. Not cooked properly with decent amount of seasoning.

First time here, they made our chowfun with gravy. It was awesome not many places make it this way. Will definitely comeback again to try their other offerings.
