First time getting carry out from here. Decided to do business with them based on the reviews. We were impressed. We had their lunch specials and egg drop soup with extra egg rolls. The food was great! I love the moo goo gai pan. We’ll be eating from here again.

I used to LOVE this place! It blew every other Chinese place out of the water. IMO. I started noticing a few months back the food seemed a little different. It’s not terrible now, but nothing like it was!
Reason for the review is I called last night to place an order around 7:20. Had to call around 6 times before I got a rude girl to pick up. She said they stop taking orders at 7:40. Because they close @ 8. Um, if you would’ve answered the other calls you very well could’ve placed my order!?! Very unprofessional IMO and I guess I’ll have to stick with Golden China from now on…

I’ve been eating here for at least 8 years (maybe more). They never get my order wrong and the food is yummy. I’ve eaten at Chinese restaurants in Gadsden and none of them compare to Lucky Wok!!!!! They are family oriented, ALWAYS pleasant and they give free donuts if you spend enough money. I usually eat the donuts with coffee in the morning. I hope they never leave because that will be the end of Chinese food for me. Egg drop soup, sweet and sour soup, wonton soup always fresh and delicious and great when your sick with a cold. The best egg foo young you ever will taste. I love this restaurant!!!!!

The food is usually great but today they must have a new cook or they are trying to save money. We ordered sesame chicken and honey chicken with rice. The rice was dry and the chicken tasted bitter. I hope this is a one time mess up because I love eating there. please lucky wok go back to cooking like you used to.

Staff are friendly and food is ok for Chinese fast food but food quality was much better when the prior family operated it. Often unreliable hours of operation though. Its good for most people because they don’t know what good quality Chinese food really is..

Like another reviewer reviewed, the moo goo gai pan had fresh vegetables, crunchy and crisp, full of flavor. The egg rolls were large and full of flavor.

Pure Bliss
I use to eat food there until I saw cats running in and out the back door of the restaurant. The back door is in the kitchen. Each time I’ve gotten chips or snacks, they were 1 month to 9 months past the expiration date. I have told the male owner and female. They just said “ok”. The food tastes good from there but their practices make me not want to eat there. Makes me think they might be serving old or expired food from the kitchen too.

If you live within the city limits of Attalla or Rainbow City, Lucky Wok should be your number one choice for Chinese takeout. The ingredients used in the majority of their dishes are well seasoned and delicious. Their portions are huge even when you order from the lunch menu. I recommend this spot to anyone traveling through or living within the area.
