Reviews
Ambience: The decor is stunning — very modern, warm, and aesthetically pleasing. The vibe is cozy yet stylish, making it a great spot for a casual dinner or celebration.
Service: Our waiter, Carlos, was amazing! He was attentive, constantly checking in to make sure everything was perfect without being overbearing. The overall service was 10/10.
Food: I found this place on TikTok and saw mixed reviews, but I honestly don’t understand why. Everything we ordered was delicious!
• Sweet & Sticky Spareribs: The meat literally fell off the bone — so tender and flavorful.
• Crab Rangoon: More on the creamy, cheesy side, but still so good (especially with the duck sauce).
• Dumplings: Super flavorful filling with a little spicy kick in the sauce. I personally would’ve liked them more fried, but that’s on me for not specifying — still delicious!
• Fried Rice: I ordered double chicken instead of pork sausage, and it was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. 10/10.
Drinks: The drinks were just as impressive. Our bartender, Eduardo, was so kind and made amazing cocktails. I had a lemon drop, my friend had a dirty martini, and we also tried the Soju Aperol Spritz, which was refreshing and unique. Eduardo even surprised us with complimentary lemon drop shots for a birthday — served in adorable little glasses!
Overall: Great food, great drinks, excellent service, and a beautiful atmosphere. It wasn’t cold inside, the music was at the perfect level, and we could actually talk without shouting. We had such a good time and will definitely be back!
The ambiance of the restaurant is quite inviting — clean, modern, and with a lively atmosphere that gives off a trendy, casual vibe. The service was fairly quick and polite, which I appreciated. The staff seemed well-trained and attentive without being overbearing.
However, when it came to the food, I was a bit disappointed. Several dishes we ordered were noticeably too salty and overly oily, which made it hard to enjoy them fully. While I understand that some dishes are meant to be rich or flavorful, the seasoning and oil content here felt excessive and unbalanced. This affected not just the taste but also the overall feeling after the meal — a bit heavy and greasy.
Portion sizes were decent for the price, and there were a few dishes that stood out as tasty, but the inconsistency in flavor really brought down the experience for me. I think Lucky Tiger has potential, but it could benefit greatly from more refined seasoning and better oil control in their cooking.
In short, it’s not a bad place, but not one I’d rush back to either.
The chicken and broccoli is another standout, cooked to perfection with juicy chicken, crisp broccoli, and a savory sauce that ties it all together beautifully. It’s simple, classic, and done so well.
Whether you’re in the mood for dumplings that impress or a comforting plate of chicken and broccoli, Lucky Tiger delivers consistently delicious food that leaves you wanting to come back for more. A must-try for anyone craving bold flavors and perfectly executed classics!
From the hosts to the waiters to the managers and bartenders, everyone was wonderful. The staff was attentive, friendly, and quick to assist. They made sure we had everything we needed without being overwhelming, which was much appreciated.
Convenient parking was available with a garage nearby. The first two hours are free, which is a nice perk. Plus, the restaurant is conveniently located next to Urban Wild, adding to the overall vibe of the area.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations, and considering the prices, it really didn’t feel worth it. The fusion dishes didn’t hit for us, lacking the flavor profile I was hoping for, and the overall quality didn’t justify the cost.
On the other hand, the drinks were wonderful. Creative and refreshing, they were definitely a highlight of the meal. We liked everything we tried from the sake, to the martinis, mojitos, and margaritas.
A downside in IMO was the use of a palm pilot for payment. I’m not a fan of this method, so I asked for the bill to be printed out so I could review the charges. It feels awkward for the waiter to stand there while we try to scroll through to review charges on the device and then make payment and tip while they are watching.
As a sweet touch, they surprised us with fresh chocolate-dipped strawberries at the end of our meal, which was a lovely gesture for the occasion. We also got fortune cookies.
While the food may not be worth the prices, this place is perfect for a date night, especially if you’re just looking for a great spot to enjoy drinks at the bar and a light bite. There are two separate bars that give you some great options, and the environment and cocktails make it a fun and relaxed outing. The service and ambiance is worth a visit.
For the food, the highlights for me were the salmon roll and the mango pudding. The crab ragoon had more cream cheese than crab, although good I expect more crab meat when ordering at a restaurant. The grilled chicken teriyaki was a pass altogether. Now I love me some dumplings and gyoza were stuffed just like I like em’ but again I felt like I had better. The house fried rice came with a side sauce that resembles a cheese sauce, but the sauce to add that made took it up a notch was the chili sauce that came with the crab rangoon. The salmon roll needed nothing, not even soy sauce. The balance of flavors and the sauce placed on top was the perfect combination! I am normally not a pudding person, but the mango pudding was amazing!!! Light, refreshing, and flavorful, we cleared the bowl.
The yuzu martini was a refreshing citrus flavor with a kick. The maitai was the right amount of sweet with a good balance of rum.
Came here for an early dinner this past week. Aside from Nautilus, I haven’t found a spot in Boston that really nails Asian fusion, and unfortunately, Lucky Tiger was no exception. We shared five dishes, and while the portions were decent, the food lacked the kind of balance and complexity I usually expect from good Asian fusion.
Favorites: Sweet & Sticky Spare ribs
Solid: Spicy Tuna Roll, Chef’s House Fried Rice
Poor: Pork Gyoza Dumplings, Udon Noodles
The Spare Ribs was the best dish of the night — light, crispy skin with exceptionally tender meat inside. The sweet and spicy hoisin sauce was just okay, but honestly, the ribs didn’t even need it. The Fried Rice was probably the most flavorful item we tried. Not amazing, but still better than everything else we ordered. The Tuna Rolls were solid — nothing mind-blowing, but decent for the price.
The udon noodles and the dumplings were pretty bad. The dumplings had thick skin, small filling, and were just bland — frankly worse than low-tier HMart frozen dumplings. The udon noodles were undercooked, and the lone fried egg didn’t do much to balanced the overly acidic sauce. My biggest issue with these was the overall lack of layered flavors. They seemed to rely too heavily on tanginess without much complexity. I love acidity in fusion dishes when it’s paired with sweetness or spice, but here, it just felt uninspired and monotonous.
Service didn’t help either. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, our server was practically missing the entire meal.
Overall, a few decent bites, but not enough to make me want to come back. Not sure how long this place is going to last, but I’d be surprised if it sticks around longer than the Mexican spot that was here before.
The food was absolutely delicious! The portion sizes were just right, and everything tasted fresh and high-quality.
The ambiance was also fantastic, whether you’re looking for a cozy dinner or a fun night out with friends. I’ll definitely be coming back soon! Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and excellent service!
