My expectation of the food was a typical Chinese takeout that tastes good but we all know is perhaps not the healthiest! The food was very ok and was a few notches below my expectations.
Orange chicken was soggy and not crispy
The teriyaki chicken was decent.
The guy in there said the menu was displayed and we can look it up, the items weren’t labelled so we couldn’t really tell what was what. Labelling it is perhaps convenient for us too. There was nobody when I went in at 13:30 on a Sunday even though it is right by a grocery store.
Quantity is huge and enough for two average meals.

Prices about same as Panda Express. Taste wise not good. Presentation is equal to the flavors. Very lacking. I can’t say I can support a place that doesn’t care about it’s food. It’s best to just go to Panda Express or else where unfortunately. This is coming from an Asian person who can’t support this mess. I rather eat Panda than pay for this stuff here. Ate here once. Walked in today and said Hell No! It was dirty and lacked in selection of items.

When I first discover this takeout place, there were a lot of variety of the dishes, and they give you big portion that’s reasonably priced and the food were really good Chinese food.
I haven’t been buying takeout from them for a while so I was surprised to find out that the choice of dishes is very limited. Since I was ordering specially ordered dish, I don’t know how tasty the dishes are. Also, it seems that the friendly male owner who was manning the front is now stationed at the back, may be cooking, and there is this lady manning the front who isn’t as friendly as the man and very hard to understand what she is saying. The special dish that I ordered today didn’t taste as good as before either so I’m quite disappointed for losing my one and only authentic Chinese restaurant in Manteca!

To be honest i have always enjoyed the food from this exact location. Then years later after finding out they changed names and ownership i was a little worried that the food wouldn’t taste the same but ol boy was i wrong. The food is amazing and always fresh. I mean either wake up or get hip people this is definitely an underrated eatery. Owner is super nice always keeps the place nice and clean and the food hot and fresh. I highly recommend lucky house express. Yes they are covid friendly with protection barrier to keep food safe. Whether it be a quick bite for lunch or a big catering experience come on and try them out. There is always going to be the good and the bad in every post i do so here’s the bad. The parking lot is full of grocery shoppers so some times you have to walk a few stalls to get there no biggie right? I mean we all love to eat, and when we find out that there’s a place that’s serving huge portions and has been consistently good for years why not try it.

The portions whether ordering a combo meal or a la carte are down right huge – how huge you ask? let’s say, the top of the to-go boxes are ready to op open just like your waist line if you eat here! They don’t measure how much they put in the to-go containers – they eyeball it. The food is flavorful – this is what American-Chinese food should be like. Try their garlic fried chicken and the BBQ Pork – so tender, moist and that coast of red-color dry sauce on it – OMG! On the combo plates – 2 items with rice and chow mein ( or you can go all chow mein ) $7.99 that’s a steal! Once in a while, you’ll see / hear the guy use the megaphone to let the chefs know they need more of a certain dish up front!

Food was more then 4 hours old. It looked very dry. I asked if it was fresh and she said all the food was fresh. The chicken looked and tasted like it was re-fried. I would not go there again. The combo plate was almost $10. Not worth it.

Awesome sides. Not a fan of the chow mein too noodly for me, could use a lil more garlic or onion powder flavor idk what they use. Rice was maybe a 7 out of 10 I personally appreciate it cooked 5 minutes longer that’s just me. His side are pretty tasty, I wish he had mushroom chicken at his steam table as it’s a pretty popular dish! Also, honey walnut shrimp readily available at the steam table would be another smart option if he charged an extra fee for shrimp I’d understand but he should make it available. Customers would definitely love it and I bet he’d get more business

My father in law ate the food. And this is what he said! First day got there food I was hyped and excited to try something new. And then the next day I woke up. I ate the Beef and broccoli, teriyaki chicken etc. I got Diarrhea and I had the food poisoning coming out of every orifice of my body. I was sweating, pooping and throwing up constantly!!! I threw up 6 times and it lasted for 3 days!!!! This is a disgusting and nasty place, DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!
