I wanted to give this place a shot so I got a regular hot dog. Pricey for some hot dogs. My hot dog was rubbery, bread was soggy and relish a weird green color. Cheese fries alright. Unfortunately will not be returning. ( I tore my hot into pieces but no good areas to eat..all rubbery). Owner very nice

The hotdog itself was not the best tasting hot dog. It tasted like a low-quality hot dog that was just boiled in water.

Stopped at Lucky Dawgs while on vacation from Illinois. Hotdogs and fries were good, very small portions on the fries. Nice set up, you can eat outside. Nice place to stop if you are looking for a Chicago Dawg.

Old school hot dog stand, very clean, outdoor seating . The food was delicious . The servers were kind and courteous. Hot dogs , Italian sausages, hamburgers . Perfect summer food.

Terry (one of the owners) lost two good customers today. My fiancé and I are (were) frequent customers of lucky dawgs. We honestly enjoyed going, the burgers and chili fries were amazing (only went because of the food). Occasionally we would have a bad experience with the owners and employees but brushed it off cause we liked the food so much. My first negative encounter there was with an employee (who quit and i don’t blame him). He was just in a bad mood i guess. I asked this man a simple question about their burgers and he proceeds to blurt out the most unexpected, rudest answer i was so taken aback. The second bad encounter was with Terry, she seemed to be geeked up i honestly don’t know what her deal was that day. She was super short with us, seemed very irritated blurting things out slamming the pen/receipt on the counter. She forgot something for an elderly mans order and when he proceeds so ask for what was missing she gives him the most nasty face and begins to spaz out looking for the item. Next encounter was also with Terry. Same thing she seemed to be tweaking, super upset running around like a headless chicken. I didn’t get out of the car that day because i did not want my meal to be ruined because of her attitude. Again she was super rude to my fiancé she messed up both of our order’s as well which we were both to uncomfortable to go back and ask to be fixed. To add on top of that my fiancé witnessed she literally screamed at her new employee rudely to get back to work after the man literally only stood there for like 3 seconds to catch his breath. Today was the cherry on top for me. We stopped by to get lunch, giving them another chance since we thought we weren’t coming back hence our last experience. Everything seemed to be going well until we started biting into raw french fries. Again to uncomfortable to ask for them to be replaced. After we finish we clean up our table and i start walking to the car while my fiance throws away the trash which is next to the take out window. He sets the little red baskets on the counter. Terry proceeds to rudely yell at him to at least throw away like the three napkins that were on the baskets… To which he politely answers oh im sorry yes (he’s to nice). Meanwhile Terry is giving off the nastiest facial expressions. There’s no reason i should be hearing you yell at my fiancé all the way from the car Terry.. unacceptable. Moral of the story customer service sucks and so does the food now so there’s nothing really to go back to. If you have read this far… beware of this place.

So no offense I’ve been coming here for a while with my dad before he passed away and was craving adouble and a regular hamburger and the guy there March 18th 2023 between 4:00pm and 4:20pm and I made sure he understood I wanted a double with everything and a hamburger and he asked with everything and I said yes very disappointed. And it was only me at the moment there was another gentleman but he was on the phone.

We’re seasonal from Chicago and was on a search to find an authentic and real Chicago style hot dogs. Over the past few years Lucky Dogs really met our expectations. Last weekend my wife suggested Lucky Dogs. Off I went to pick them up and have a great Saturday evening dinner. What a disappointment — the dogs were rubbery , the pickle slices small, bun was soggy and fries were greasy. Plus it was our pleasure to pay $ 30 bucks for the experience. Never again ! We’re back on the hunt for real and authentic style Chicago style dogs !!! We found real Chicago style pizza here — we’ll find the dogs !!! The owner of Lucky Dogs has lost his right to say they’re from Chicago. TOO BAD !!!

If I can give it a negative 10 I would the food is awful like dog food and way over priced for child portion you will be very disappointed
