This is my ho to place for menudo!! Been coming here for 40+ years. Always excellent food. In my opinion it’s the best menudo in El Paso, lots of meat, “pata” is available. ….simply delicious!! I also love their lucky burger and bun hot dogs, these are all classics. Great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good place to eat Mexican food like tacos, burritos, Mexican plate. Always a great place to eat . Waitresses are si courteous, attentive and professional. Will always come here. Keep up the great job and food ☕

There are not too many breakfast all day places that are bad…and this is a good one. Old school diner thats been here for awhile and longer than most of us have. Friendly service and great food! The place has that old diner feel and the food is spectacular. Many combos to choose from and all centered around comfort food. If you like an good old school diner with that old feel and great service and food then you should go here and have a look and eat some good food!

I always go to the Lucky Cafe when I’m in El Paso at breakfast time, they make excellent machaca and all of their food is made from scratch when you order and doesn’t take a long time to be cooked. The cooks and waitstaff are on point, attentive and friendly, even to this Gringo! it is an older building but is always very clean. Atmosphere is old timey Diner.

High prices, cheap ingredients. Wait staff was doing their best, but the stuff coming out of the kitchen was just not appetizing nor did it taste good. Menudo tripe had such an awful taste I might just quit menudo for life. Most breakfast plates are over $11 and almost none of them come with any type of breakfast meat (ham, sausge, etc). My plate, the ham omelette had a strange ham, was cold and overall disappointing. Aren’t diners supposed to excel at breakfast? –No idea what happened to this place, tread carefully, because there’s nothing lucky about this place.

This gem of a corner restaurant has stood the test of time ! As I’ve grown older and eaten plenty of food at this establishment. It’s great tasting food has never changed they only keep getting better. The same great smells and jolly atmosphere are what keeps me and my family coming here time and time again. As you enter your greeted with the warmest smiles and smell of great dishes being prepared. When you get to this corner restaurant you’ll see and have plenty of seating in front of the serving line and various booths to accommodate your family. The various servers will be handing your parties menus and taking your meal orders. Then as you wait for your great tasting food they will treat you with an appetizing chips and salsa to get your taste buds rolling as your main dishes are being prepared. We arrived early and in no time we were greeted with a hot cup of coffee and chips and salsa. As my taste buds were being tantalized with a great tasting appetizer the chef is busy whipping up my hot hamburger steak and eggs dish while my party is waiting on their fresh bowl of hot Menudo with its famous ” Pata de Res ” . It’s soft tripe and warm hominy fill my parties bellies and my hamburger steak and eggs are disappearing right into my belly. Its constant beverage fill ups are always welcoming. While I’m enjoying my great tasting food our table server greets you with a warm smile and checks to see if you’re doing fine and needing anything to satisfy your appetite. And if you’re “Lucky” enough this older gentlemen will arrive at your party’s table to serenade your family and patrons with his astonishing guitar playing and warm harmonious voice . They have plenty of menu options for your younger guests. There fresh drinks and warm beverages will always be filled up at a moments notice. so please visit this great tasting Lucky Cafe and check out this well know establishment. You’ll be glad you did !!!

Stopped in for some menudo after a night of partying, and I was not disappointed. A local had suggested the cafe and mannnn it was so good. Next time I’m passing thru El Paso I’ll definitely be back here, I will say it gets very crowded so be prepared for a short wait
