I’ll have to try their happy hour again one day, but we recently ordered for pick up and wow, the presentation and quality is just sad. Service is a bit slow, our pick up order was a late. Small waiting area or it will trickle into the mall.
One of the problems is that if you’re going to give small portions, don’t put it in your large container. It’s just disappointing when you open your meal. It just looks really sad.
My favorite dish at Lucille’s will always be the onion straws and that sauce. Sometimes I’ll pick up an order of them for the BBQ I make myself at home. They’re great sides.
Biscuits and mashed potatoes are also solid here.
The Southwest chicken salad was average, the chicken is nice and tender. The lettuce was definitely old, you can see the oxidation on almost all the pieces of lettuce.
Tri-tip was tough and a bit dry. Definitely needed that sauce to help it. It’s pretty chewy.
Baby back ribs are small; half order is about 5 ribs. Again small and nothing really going for it.
You’re looking at $33 for 5 ribs and two sides or $27 for tough tri-tip and sides.
Probably go somewhere else for your bbq needs or pick up some Costco gift cards to offset their prices. But if you’re looking for quality bbq, Lucille’s isn’t it.
Our experience was brilliant. The food was on point and cane out quickly. Fried pickles were piping hot but so delicious. Ribs could have more meat but the flavor made up for it. Okay here is the real reason this place wins a 5 out 5 star magic restaurant. Savanah out waitress had impeccable timing and service. The best in ALL LA! Crazy good service an whoever the manager is should give her a RAISE because either non of us missed a drink, food, clean dish or anything. She was perfect and super kind.
Her tip was well deserved and there’s no way this server leaves work broke. Quality service and the people who assisted her were decent too.
Mac and cheese was filling. Don’t order too much, the food here is heavy enough.
$4–$5 off whiskey cocktails
Discounts on every whiskey they carry
Happy hour bites that are actually worth it
I can’t speak on the dinner menu, but their happy hour? Stellar. Perfect for day drinkers like me, or anyone who wants a chill vibe with great pours, generous portions, and prices you can’t beat in the South Bay.
They have three types of sauces, one original two Memphis rub and three hot and spicy! Supposedly these ribs were not made with anything other than the original recipe.
When the waitress realized… Because of course I stopped her and told her they were hotter than expected. She warned me that the baked beans I had also chosen were made with red hot sausage! I tasted and at first thought, no problem then realize my mouth was on fire .
The manager and waitress Lisa tried very hard to accommodate me after that even giving me my appetizer for Free! Oh, I forgot to start there ….
After ordering my meal, I realize I was very hungry so the waitress helped me find an appetizer. But she never put the order in. Gentlemen brought me my ribs, and I was quite surprised when my eggs did not show up.
So after lengthy conversation, both manager and waitress, explained that everything they may care they use some sort of pepper spice!
BE CAREFUL, HOT SPICY FOOD!!!
Part two: I got the New Orleans beignets…. They were hot and tasty with melted chocolate to dip in, but the inside was rather chewy… Like looking at a layered donut that wasn’t fried enough. A little raw! Oh well. I really hope that dessert would bring my review up a little bit, but it hasn’t.
Hey, forgot to say one real positive thing… They give you a hot motorist hand towel after having ribs… That was a pleasure! And thank you
Well, one more edit here we go… There’s an extra $1. 99 charge when I asked the waitress she explained it was the up charge for a premium side, and that she had pointed it out to me… Here’s the big problem with this restaurant…
ITS TOO DARL IN HERE. CANT READ THE MENU with out your phone light. Frustrating.
