This used to be a good location, but wow Lucille’s quality for the price just isn’t there anymore. It was somewhat decent before. Don’t get me wrong, it was never the best for bbq, but it’s close enough to satisfy your cravings, but it’s just not it anymore.

I’ll have to try their happy hour again one day, but we recently ordered for pick up and wow, the presentation and quality is just sad. Service is a bit slow, our pick up order was a late. Small waiting area or it will trickle into the mall.

One of the problems is that if you’re going to give small portions, don’t put it in your large container. It’s just disappointing when you open your meal. It just looks really sad.

My favorite dish at Lucille’s will always be the onion straws and that sauce. Sometimes I’ll pick up an order of them for the BBQ I make myself at home. They’re great sides.

Biscuits and mashed potatoes are also solid here.

The Southwest chicken salad was average, the chicken is nice and tender. The lettuce was definitely old, you can see the oxidation on almost all the pieces of lettuce.

Tri-tip was tough and a bit dry. Definitely needed that sauce to help it. It’s pretty chewy.

Baby back ribs are small; half order is about 5 ribs. Again small and nothing really going for it.

You’re looking at $33 for 5 ribs and two sides or $27 for tough tri-tip and sides.

Probably go somewhere else for your bbq needs or pick up some Costco gift cards to offset their prices. But if you’re looking for quality bbq, Lucille’s isn’t it.

Very few restaurants are open on Thanksgiving day and were we glad they were! The restaurant in Del Amo was busy but the wait wasn’t too long. Happy to have our turkey there on Turkey Day and so was the chicken fried steak. Dessert was also good and service was quick & friendly! Very convenient to have a credit card machine on our table. Clean bathrooms as well. Would come back again Thanksgiving or not.

Here’s a perfect review of the place:
Our experience was brilliant. The food was on point and cane out quickly. Fried pickles were piping hot but so delicious. Ribs could have more meat but the flavor made up for it. Okay here is the real reason this place wins a 5 out 5 star magic restaurant. Savanah out waitress had impeccable timing and service. The best in ALL LA! Crazy good service an whoever the manager is should give her a RAISE because either non of us missed a drink, food, clean dish or anything. She was perfect and super kind.

Her tip was well deserved and there’s no way this server leaves work broke. Quality service and the people who assisted her were decent too.

Mac and cheese was filling. Don’t order too much, the food here is heavy enough.

I stopped into Lucille’s in Del Amo for Whiskey Wednesday, and let me tell you—this is the mid-week move in Torrance. They run all-day happy hour, and the deals are exactly what I love
$4–$5 off whiskey cocktails
Discounts on every whiskey they carry
Happy hour bites that are actually worth it

I can’t speak on the dinner menu, but their happy hour? Stellar. Perfect for day drinkers like me, or anyone who wants a chill vibe with great pours, generous portions, and prices you can’t beat in the South Bay.

M’aitre d’ and wait staff friendly and happy. Ordered the two meat combo with southern braised greens (mustard greens) and coleslaw. Both sides were lovely and exactly what I wanted to compliment my meats. Bark and rub were evident seasoning the meats nicely. Enjoyed my meal will be back in the future. Giggled with server when she welcomed me back after asking if it was my first time at this Lucille’s branch, I asked the server if she remembers this restaurant being a stand alone premises in the what is now a parking garage? I think she may have been in Kindergarten….

I came in this place with high expectations because it looked very eclectic and fun and had a 4.2 from over 2500 reviews on Google of course but don’t let it fool you. The ribs were OK matter fact even good but they don’t listen to instructions! I told them to cut three or four so that the rest would stay moist… They cut five ribs!! But that wasn’t a big deal… They were way spicy! Rereading the description on the menu. It said nothing about the ribs being spicy.

They have three types of sauces, one original two Memphis rub and three hot and spicy! Supposedly these ribs were not made with anything other than the original recipe.

When the waitress realized… Because of course I stopped her and told her they were hotter than expected. She warned me that the baked beans I had also chosen were made with red hot sausage! I tasted and at first thought, no problem then realize my mouth was on fire .

The manager and waitress Lisa tried very hard to accommodate me after that even giving me my appetizer for Free! Oh, I forgot to start there ….

After ordering my meal, I realize I was very hungry so the waitress helped me find an appetizer. But she never put the order in. Gentlemen brought me my ribs, and I was quite surprised when my eggs did not show up.

So after lengthy conversation, both manager and waitress, explained that everything they may care they use some sort of pepper spice!

BE CAREFUL, HOT SPICY FOOD!!!

Part two: I got the New Orleans beignets…. They were hot and tasty with melted chocolate to dip in, but the inside was rather chewy… Like looking at a layered donut that wasn’t fried enough. A little raw! Oh well. I really hope that dessert would bring my review up a little bit, but it hasn’t.

Hey, forgot to say one real positive thing… They give you a hot motorist hand towel after having ribs… That was a pleasure! And thank you

Well, one more edit here we go… There’s an extra $1. 99 charge when I asked the waitress she explained it was the up charge for a premium side, and that she had pointed it out to me… Here’s the big problem with this restaurant…
ITS TOO DARL IN HERE. CANT READ THE MENU with out your phone light. Frustrating.

I took a chance on a drink special that’s on the table card. It had a cute name that I don’t recall but it had pink grapefruit juice, tequila, something else like triple sec and a smoke infused salt rim. Weird together. The food was outstanding except the baby back ribs were just way too salty. And I’m pretty salt tolerant. Adding sauce helped save them. The deviled eggs, the sides and the brisket were all great. Well maybe not putting granulated sugar on top of the otherwise excellent biscuits. Dang. My Southern mama would ask what were they thinking? And ask for straight butter, not that sweet stuff they automatically bring out.

Yesterday was my Niece’s Birthday.!!! She had a great time. We all had a great time. Our server Moustafa , Almost like Mufasa ……. LOL. Was so entertaining & fun. Even his Manager bragged about him. Works on Sat & Sundays for sure. The Appetizers were good spinach dip and chips. Then the fam had the Nachos. My brother loved the brisket on the Nachos. (Definitely try it) when your a pescatarian i don’t touch the stuff! Lol but the tray was emptied with 3 adults sharing it. A big portion. The Apple buter & biscuits amazing. I tried to eat 2 biscuits. Well it didn’t happen, BUT I TRIED. Apple butter !!! For my Drink I had the Strawberry lemonade with alcohol in it. With sugar around the rim. It was sweet. I couldn’t taste the alcohol but I could feel it! I also had the grilled salmon with sides & it was good I put some original BBQ sauce on it and it was even more tastier. I even got a Togo bottle. Look if you’ve never been here try it. Having a fun and playful server like Moustafa will make your experience even better.

I have no complains about the customer service, great place great customer service. My only complain would be portion size according to the price, I think prices a little bit high vs the portion size, maybe is that BBQ is overrated in CA but that’s just my personal opinion. Good quality of ingredients but very reduce size in portion. If you pay attention to the protein you are getting on your order this make sense to you. I would recommend this place but be aware that you might have to order more than one option if you are very very hungry.

I was looking forward for the bbq, unfortunately I wasnt very thrilled with what I got. It could’ve been what I ordered, but if im being honest most of it looked better then it tasted. Most dishes were bland, and the meat is just okay. Its also a bit pricey for the quality, the picture below ended up being a total of $75. It wasnt terrible but I personally wouldnt come back.
