Locals all seem to love the vibe and atmosphere here. They have Karaoke and when the drinks get going, people get to singing their heart out. Food is great, albeit not quite authentic mexican, it’s more of a cross of mexican dishes with a touch of carribean spices/flavors. Keeping that in mind, the tacos al pastor (although devoid of pineapples) were seriously tasty, the grilled fish (tilapia) was on point and reminded us of a prior experience at a beachside shack in DR. If you are in the downtown providence area, drop in, it’s worth the trip!

Had 3 Jack & cokes and 3 tacos , didn’t know they were $15.00 apiece, didn’t say anything, paid my bill and left. Following day saw my credit card got charged again for a totally different amount, definitely not going back.

$10 for a side of rice and beans to go seemed awfully steep. But only when we got back home did we see it was a little scoop of each. What the heck? Cost nothing to make—why so stingy? (Also: didn’t taste great)

Waitress forgot what I ordered and asked a second time while walking away to the kitchen. Wrote nothing down on a pad. Forgot my girlfriend’s drink completely and never checked back on the table. When time to pay, gave an attitude about splitting the bill by item for a party of 4. Said “when you want to split you start with that, who told you that you can do that?” The cost for both couples was more after she split it. Gave herself a 35% tip for the trouble of doing math a second time for an itemized list she couldn’t even remember correctly. Then didn’t communicate this so I ended up tipping twice by applying 20% to the overpriced receipt she gave me out of spite. Never going again. Worst service I’ve ever encountered. Sucks because the food and music is good.

Poor cleaning, bad service, bad tasting food, a dirty place, dirty bathrooms… everything in this restaurant is a disappointment. The margaritas are the worst I’ve ever tasted.

Great lunch First-class service, lovely ambience , tasty food – great experience from start to finish! Very well paced small plates and knowledgeable server who was able to accommodate our requests including virgin cocktails. Beautiful dining space, will definitely be back!

Great spot that’s perfect for a late night meal after a show. Service was friendly and prompt. 4 stars instead of 5 because the chips were stale and soda was flat, but it could have just been bad luck. Pork burrito was big and tasty and the beef chimichanga with green sauce was crispy and very cheesy. Looking forward to coming back!

Did a walk by drop in today at Lucia’s…I craved fajitas so I ordered the triple chicken, steak and shrimp plus a Cuba Libre drink. Wow, what a call…a perfectly made drink (feeling great right now…) and the fajitas, well…arrived sizzling hot and taste incredibly delicious. Trying to pace myself to the finish line of not leaving anything on my plate due to the generous portion. Highly recommended my friends. Come one, come all.

Lucia’s is THE PLACE to get the real deal, genuine, authentic Mexican food. This order of nachos was MIND-BLOWING. Not only was it more visually appealing than any other plate of nachos (I mean LOOK AT IT hopefullythe pic was uploaded) but it was loaded with the toppings! Like, you know how people put the toppings just on the top and none in the middle? Yeah, NOT AT LUCIA’S. And the *T*A*S*T*E* was phenomenal. I’m fairly okay at conversational Spanish, and I tried to tell Lucia all of this in Spanish, but the food was so incredible that I could barely speak English. I can’t wait to go back. Why would you eat at a chain restaurant that mass produces garbage that barely passes for food (much less actual Mexican cuisine) when you could eat at Lucia’s??
