Hamilton will soon welcome a new culinary and nightlife destination with the arrival of Luciano’s, an authentic Italian restaurant, and its adjoining cocktail bar, Vespbar, opening November 2025. Bringing a refined taste of Italy to the town, Luciano’s will serve classic Italian dishes with a contemporary twist in a warm, elegant setting. Good food, good service, waited around 15 mins from asking for bill to paying but was starting to get busy so can’t fault too much! Staff very attentive and food was lovely but could have a stronger flavour for the pasta sauce and meat. A relaxed atmosphere and decorated nicely, tables close together makes a bit more of an intimate setting but overall would dine here again.

Food was nice enough, but a bit salty and overall taste was bland. Dessert was amazing, starter was ok could have done with more bread which would be better served warm and some oils.
Some if the staff were lovely, however the main waitress/host was overly attentive with out any purpose and very quiet she was hard to understand. At times her presence felt uncomfortable.

First time visiting the Hamilton restaurant, the decor is very impressive, the service was also great, with the manager/waiter attentitive throughout the visit the food was well presented and very fresh and tasty

Came into Vespar for some drinks. Lovely bar. Great atmosphere and staff were attentive and welcoming. Lovely cocktails. Haven’t tried food yet as we just decided to try last minute but definitely will be back to try. Bar is great as has some little light bites etc too if u just want some snacks and drinks. Cant wait to come back.

Went for some food at 3pm on a Saturday, so had choices from the market menu, which stops at 4pm on a Saturday.
My wife and I both had the pate to start, the lasagne and pizza for mains and cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. All food was excellent, very tasty.
I felt the need to post this review as I had read reviews which were negative regarding the staff. In my opinion and my wife’s, the staff were excellent, attentive and very friendly. We have a 1 year old and a high chair was already at the table when we arrived. All staff were engaging with him, making him smile.
Thoroughly great experience, will definitely go back and hope anyone reading this review will also visit them for some good food and hospitable service

The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. Staff were attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the food wasn’t great. Chicken and mushroom risotto was so salty it had to be sent back as it was inedible. I was offered a replacement or alternative but by this time all my family were eating so decided to leave it. The meal was comped. The chicken Milanese was a very small portion and bland. Bolognaise was also bland.
The restaurant was busy and music was loud, although it was a nice atmosphere, it made it really difficult to have a conversation in our table of 6.
In a town full of Italian restaurants, Lucianos is going to have to work hard to find its place.

Restaurant very quiet for a Friday night, only 2 other tables in which did affect the atmosphere. Food below par. Chicken Milanese had a small overcooked bit of chicken, wasn’t offered a replacement as all chicken is portion controlled so would only have received the same. Chef special pasta had miniscule bits of meat. Steak was okay but lots of fat. Waitress was lovely but would not return due to food quality. Only ended up here through a itison voucher gifted to us.

The tagliatelle Genovese was delicious, and a very generous portion. Chicken was also a hit for our group. The only disappointment was the Bruschetta which was little more than toast, tomatoes and balsamic vinegar/ no pesto or aioli tasted. Staff were very good- friendly and helpful. The high volume of the music competing with the noise from a busy restaurant made it really difficult to talk / hear. We enjoyed the food so may give it a try on a week night to see if it was any quieter/ relaxed, but would certainly give weekends a miss in future.

Had a fantastic dinner last night. Steak cooked to perfection and my friends had pizza (one was gluten free) and both said they were so tasty. Sharing plater was well stocked and presentation was lovely. Great food, good price and lovely staff.
