Well my son and daughter both ate of the pepperoni lovers. My daughter ate first and immediately said she felt ill and threw up some. We thought nothing of it since it seemed to quick to be food poisoning. She discontinued the pizza.
Next my son had 2 slices without any symptoms…at first. He later called me to room later that night that he couldn’t focus because the room was spinning! His nausea was so bad he couldn’t even move! I immediately attributed this to food poisoning from the only item he had consumed…the oven baked pepperoni pizza. He threw up a lot of his food…getting most of the offending items out of his system.
We’ve never gone back to the place to date…that was this past summer.
The environment is great, which is really a shame. I’ll touch on why I’m a bit. Self serve soda is always a plus, same with forks, spoons, knives, and napkins. Wonderful!
So we order. I get baked zitti, nothing complicated. I order at 6:42 pm, ticket 10023. The salad I get is extremely basic. The dressing tastes like store bought and has way too much lime. Croutons have no flavor and I’m fairly sure the parmesan was days old. Extremely bad start.
But wait, there’s more! After waiting half an hour I go ask what the deal is since my roommate already ate his disappointing spaghetti. The cashier assures me my food is on my way and sure enough five minutes later I get my food. Surely it was worth the wait, right?
Maybe if we were in opposite world. The pasta itself was cooked correctly but that’s where the positives end. The sauce was bland and watery and the ricotta was laughable. Oh, did I mention the ricotta wasn’t even creamy? I believe that what was on my dish may at one point have been ricotta but the dish was an embarrassment to Italy.
So you’re probably saying “Clay everyone goes there for pizza, what are you doing!” We thought of that and got a slice of the most incredibly cheap tasting pizza I’ve ever put in my mouth. Think Peter Piper but with even more cost cutting measures.
Overall the whole experience was a waste of my time and money. I will never return and will advise others to seek out literally every other pizza place for their fix. Thanks.
And it’s awesome.
Perfect single serving with a golden crust that just makes your mouth water to look at it.
It’s my favorite Italian restaurant in the Rio Grand Valley.
