I’m so happy we tried this place, the customer service makes you feel like family and well taken care of from the moment you walk in. I got the half serving of Chilaquiles (I added beans and pico) and it was ginormous, soooo tasty though! Do not skip on pineapple upside down pancakes, they were 10 out of 10!! my boyfriend never gets egg Benedict, but got the birria benedit said that these were worth a try and loved them!

Lucho’s is my favorite brunch spot in SF! all the workers are friendly and personable. the food is top quality. the spicy fried chicken benedict (spicy ️!!) and birria chilaquiles are my go-to. always a waitlist on the weekends but service moves quick!

Delicious food. Small restaurant with limited sitting, but because of that the service is really good. Staff is nice. Food taste great. The taste is genuine Mexican. Can’t go wrong with anything. Burrito, pancakes, chilaquiles, everything was good. Servings are generous. I got the Half Chilaquiles and the portion was more than enough for me. The full could’ve fed 2 or 3 people. Definitely would come here again.

This place is GOOD and we got to meet Lucho who was a sweetie!! I got the cochinita pibil sandwich and it was delicious! The meat was tender and flavorful and the sauce was creamy with the perfect kick. Highly recommend

It’s a great restaurant! The staff is friendly and considerate, then owner makes the rounds to ensure your satisfaction, and there’s a parklet outside which is great on sunny days. Lines are common so it’s better to get there early. Very family friendly. They serve beer – if that’s important to you. We pancakes were around $14. If you order coffee with cream they pour the cream in the cup for you; white sugar is on the table. Every table has hot sauce galore, including salt & pepper. (What is up with this trend of restaurants not leaving S&P on the table????? Rant over.) Check out the ginormous chilaquiles!! Warning- these are only for the spicy spicy lovers – absolutely not substitutions! See you there!

Update: Sunday at 11:30, diners were finishing up ans a few tables were available. My friend and I were seated right away and had a wonderful brunch.
Mango mimosas, chilaquiles, peach pancake was amazing, crispy edges, and almost too sweet but we devoured it. Next time I’m asking for syrup on the side. The place had a queue right after we were seated, timing is everything! I had house made conchinita pibil (pork) with my chilaquiles and it was sublime! Tender and flavorful. Staff were attentive and efficient.

Great neighborhood spot for a boozy (or not!) brunch.

Came here twice in two weeks, first on a Tuesday morning around 9:15am, we weren’t the first there. You order at the counter and pay then sit and the food is brought to you-I like this system because there’s no waiting to pay when you’re done.
It’s a small space, clean and cozy. There’s a parklet outside too.

I first noticed they had mimosas and beer and tequila! I didn’t try in this visit but was pleasantly surprised. The menu has traditional breakfast offerings with a Latin flair (think Birria Benedict, chilaquiles, breakfast burritos). I had avocado toast and my husband had the breakfast burrito-which was huge, delicious and filled with eggs, cheese, potatoes, bacon and salsa. So delicious!
We shared the special pineapple coconut pancake- perfect! Not too sweet and crisp at the edges.
My toast was good but overshadowed by the burrito and pancake. Coffee was very good and from a local roaster.

Next visit was on a Sunday before the Stern Grove concert, got there at 9:45 and it was filling up fast, the owner was there and was managing the line and seating very well. She was gracious and personable. Some staff were newer so needed some guidance from her but overall service was good and attentive.

This time I had the chilaquiles with soy chorizo, avocado, salsa, fried egg. You have to add the proteins and avocado on separately to the order…which makes it an expensive dish but let me say it is well worth it. I had a half portion which was enough for two. It was fantastic and I can’t wait to come back and order it again.

I had the mimosa this time and it was a nice pour…

Great neighborhood place that is well liked so if you go on the weekend, be early or prepare to wait. Weekdays are better…there is also lunch too but I haven’t gotten that far in the menu yet!
Parking isn’t bad either.

Lucho’s is absolutely amazing! The food is delicious, fresh, and full of flavor—everything I tried was outstanding. The place is always clean and well cared for, which makes the experience even better. But what truly sets Lucho’s apart is the staff: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can feel the pride they take in what they do. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food and excellent service!

“New in town, hungry, and running on fumes—this place hit the spot!”

I had just rolled into town with a little time to kill before check-in, so I figured I’d try a small local joint—and I’m so glad I did. This unassuming little Mexican spot turned out to be a gem. I ordered the blackened shrimp Benedict, and wow—talk about flavor. Perfectly cooked shrimp, great seasoning, and just the right amount of richness.

There was a sweet employee who offered me a box near the end of my meal—I had a couple bites left and I think I caught her off guard by not needing one. Hopefully, she didn’t think I didn’t like the food, because I really did. Just pacing myself!

Compliments to the chef—I’ll definitely be coming back to try something new on the menu next time I’m in town.
