We were staying with a friend in Southold during the snowstorm and desperately trying to find anything open… and somehow stumbled into Lucharitos Greenport. Honestly? Best accidental discovery ever.

Matt, the bartender (who also happens to be the General Manager), was insanely warm and welcoming. Exactly what we needed, walking in frozen and hungry. He made some of the best margaritas I’ve had in a long time, and there was something about the salt on the rim that was next-level. It had this subtle sweetness to it that made the whole drink pop. I’m still thinking about it.

We grabbed a few tacos and they were perfect, but the real game-changer was Matt’s recommendation to try the Lucha Crunch shells. I don’t think I can ever go back to regular taco shells again. That’s it! I’ve been converted!

Great food, great drinks, and genuinely awesome people. If you’re anywhere near Greenport do yourself a favor and stop in.

Food was mid-to-good. Nacho trio was a cool concept – needed a little more cheese, but good. Their version of fajitas doesn’t come out sizzling and the steak was cooked to the point of carmelizing making it a bit too sweet.

Service was slow but nice and friendly. Decor was great.

Came to Lucharito’s for some Mexican food because of a recommendation.

The place is so vibe. Ifs vibrant and great music was playing. It must be popular because we had to wait about 20 minutes to get a table. We just walked to the dock in the meantime.

We order margaritas which were delicious. The right amount of sweet but tartness. I also appreciated them asking what kind of rim we wanted as I think salt rims should be discontinued. We then ordered the elote corn. If elote is on the menu, I’m getting it. This one was AMAZING. Probably the best I’ve ever had. Instead of regular mayo, the used chipotle menu which gave it a flavor profile that I will crave from now on. The chips were subpar. They didn’t seem fresh and weren’t salted to my liking. For my main meal I order 3 tacos: 2 Baja chicken and a traditional carnitas. You are probably wondering what is Baja chicken well instead of the fish on the Baja fish taco I substituted chicken and my GOSH. Give me 14 of them right now. The cabbage, pickled red onion, and chipotle mayo were perfect accoutrements to the crispy chicken. The carnitas taco was classic and did the job. The food was great!!!

The reason for a 4 star was that our food took a really long time to come out. We were told they were making the chips fresh, however, the chips gave stale store bought chips. It wouldn’t deter me from coming back though.

Overall, I recommend!!!

Amazing restaurant! Such a fun and exciting place to gather, eat, relax and unwind. Restaurant has an upbeat vibe. We ordered the chicken quesadillas and our kids ordered both the barbecued and buffalo wings and all dishes were fresh and delicious. Our server Christian was exceptionally friendly, welcoming and really went out of his way to ensure we all had a memorable experience. Restaurant is spacious yet cozy and inviting, and super clean as well. I highly recommended dropping by Lucharitos on your next to Greenport on the North Fork of Long Island. You will definitely enjoy the overall dining and beverage experience. Both child and senior friends. I wish I could give more than five stars!

Enjoyed our dinner at Lucharitos which had great atmosphere with ask of the wrestling gear. They also have an amazing tequila selection and I enjoyed some nice neat tequila. Otherwise we sat at the bar, the service was good and the food was good. Neither was over the top but we overall enjoyed our dinner. Easy to get to as near the waterfront and easy walking distance from most everything in Greenport. Worth a visit.

Food was good for an east coast taco joint. Fun flavor combos, the duck tacos, buffalo cauliflower taco were yummy. The mahi mahi was dry and not that great. The chips and trio dip was yummy but not worth $20. The vibrant decoration was great and it was a perfect atmosphere for my kids (2.5 and 4) who are still working on their restaurant behavior.

Disappointing…we walked in on a Saturday afternoon because the restaurant was packed and looked like a fun place to eat Mexican food. Service was great but the food was not. Started with the nacho trio with three different kinds of meat (pulled chicken & pork & ground beef) edible but meh…. One of the least memorable nachos I’ve had. I had 3 tacos: the fried shrimp one was good, the carnitas one was just ok , the meat was a little tough and definitely not fresh…the mahi mahi taco wasn’t edible. My girlfriend liked the wings, I didn’t care for them. I tried one of their swirl margaritas…which was nothing special. This place was a miss for us and I wouldn’t return.

Food is always delicious here (their dips are fantastic), it’s almost always packed, so one might have to wait about 40 minutes to get food/table.
I wasn’t that big if a fan of their tacos, but that might be just my taste:) The strawberry margarita is !!
