Service was great! I think the menu had great selections, and had several Valentine’s Day specials.
My husband ordered the sea bass which was delicious. It was served on parchment paper though, so as you can imagine with the moisture of the food, and as you’re cutting into the fish, the parchment paper rips and you’re eating that.
I got their Valentine’s Day special shrimp and artichoke (or asparagus, I can’t remember) raviole. The sauce was extremely salty, and it’s the first time I’ve ever sent a dish back. I instead got the lobster ravioli and that was phenomenal. Some bites of the lobster were also a bit salty but it was only a few pieces, it was great otherwise and I highly recommend.
The space sets the tone immediately — large, energetic, and buzzing — yet it never felt chaotic. We were seated toward the back in a quieter room, which worked perfectly for a long dinner with friends. Service was excellent: attentive without hovering, well-paced, and confident enough to let the evening unfold naturally. We spent close to three hours at the table and never felt rushed.
The bar program is a standout. Cocktails here are outstanding, both in balance and execution. The espresso martini was exactly what you want — real coffee flavor, smooth, not overly sweet — and we ordered several over the course of the night. Their gin cocktails were equally impressive; Northern Lights leaned a touch sweet but was clearly intentional and beautifully presented, while Still of the Night showed real care in construction. The Aperol spritz was picture-perfect. It’s obvious the team behind the bar does serious work.
Apps were excellent. The polpo arrosto was phenomenal — easily one of the best octopus dishes I’ve had. Perfectly tender, well-seasoned, and confidently cooked. East Coast oysters were fresh, clean, and briny in all the right ways. At one point, the manager stopped by and sent over shots of their house-made limoncello, which tasted bright, clean, and authentically Italian.
Entrées continued the strong showing. The brodetto di pesce was outstanding: deeply flavorful tomato broth, generous seafood, and precise cooking across the board. One pasta dish we tried was more middle-of-the-road, but it didn’t detract from an otherwise excellent meal.
This is not cheap dining. Our bill was around $600 for four people with two appetizers, entrées, and about three rounds of drinks. That said, it didn’t feel like a ripoff — the quality, execution, service, and experience justified the price. Lucca delivers what it promises, and it’s absolutely worth the spend. We’ll be back.
I found out quickly that I had nothing to worry about. Sonia, the Sales & Catering Manager, helped me with the whole process. She was wonderful to meet online and an even better experience meeting in-person. She was great with communication for this event and being very accommodating to my last-minute requests.
Besides working with Sonia, I got to meet her amazing team this Wednesday too. For this event, the team that served/hosted us were Caroline, Luis, Karen, Justyna, Dano, Nicholas, Teo, and Aregorio (apologies in advance if I misspelled anything). Not only were they quick on their feet, but they paid close attention to the needs of everyone at the event.
When Sonia first told me about this group of people, she was not kidding in saying that they were the best. I am very thankful for everything that Sonia and her team have done for my company event. I already spoke to Sonia about having our event at Lucca again next year.
Thank you again Sonia and her team for everything this week. <3
I started with the Spicy Mango Not-A-Rita mocktail. Wow. Every sip had mango, lime, and the Tajín rim tied it all together. Super fresh and a little spicy.
For the main, I couldn’t look past the Carne, filetto alla Rossini. 8 oz Black Angus filet, ordered medium. When it came out, it was charred on the outside, super juicy and tender. The flavors were insane. Beef, mushrooms, sauce, all working together. The edges had this crispy texture, and every bite had a smoky note. Straight up heaven.
The only downside, it leaned more rare than medium, so I didn’t finish it. Still, that first bite? Totally worth it.
