Walked in without reservations on a Friday night and sat at the bar. Their cocktails are beautiful… I believe I got something called a Mermaid Garden… Delicious, strong, and pretty ✅✅✅. We also ordered their oyster and clams happy hour which was yummy and fresh but their mignonette was a bit too sweet and didn’t pair well.

Attentive waitstaff. Great drinks. Fun vibe. Oysters were delicious. Also had the french onion soup- sharp cheese was crucial as broth may have needed some salt. Meals were delicious- full sea bass and salmon. Would go again and would venture to say my meals at the new location were better than the old? Check it out for yourself!

Very good service, atmosphere and food. Spicy Lolita is the drink. Spicy if you can handle it! We got the oysters which were amazing! Pork belly app was very tasty. Scallop dinner with slab bacon was very good! The steak was plain, not seasoned. I’ve had that happen at other restaurants and not sure why. All it needed was sea salt and maybe a little pepper and it would have been an 8 out of 10 but I would say it was a 6 or 7 for flavor. But it was good quality and a big portion, 12oz I believe. Espresso martini was excellent and the open face cookie for dessert was a great way to end the night.

Never heard of this place prior. Looking for something different for Father’s Day brunch with our adult children and one toddler. The atmosphere was charming with plenty of seafaring related decorations that captivated the 3 year old’s attention. There is a fairly large bar, sufficient indoor seating, plus the large outdoor patio.

Great meal – terrific waitstaff – Stevie was awesome, friendly & genuine. We truly felt well cared for. Drinks were fantastic – we had the Mermaid’s Garden and the Bark No Bite. The desserts were to die for – I’ve never had a better Panacotta. Food was very good to excellent! We will be back!

Stopped in on our way to upstate NY and we were blown away. It was about 11:30am on a Saturday so we beat the lunch crowd. I got the avocado toast which was really flavorful with great textures. The avocado was blended smooth, the pickled veggies were super tart and bright and the eggs were poached perfectly. I also got the Lucas’ clam chowder and it was different but good. Glad I got a cup instead of a bowl but I did eat the whole thing. I also got a side of fries and they were the only thing I didn’t love about our lunch – it was definitely the bottom of the fry basket with teeny tiny pieces that were mostly burnt. My husband ordered the hot chicken sandwich and it was very temperature hot (just out of the fryer). We think Lucas’ uses fish batter instead of chicken and wish it had been described a little different but the size was awesome and it was well cooked with good flavor…just know it’s really fish-fried-chicken! The actual star of our lunch was the side salad that came with the chicken sandwich – we both highly recommend trying the Farm Salad – it was fantastic.

David was the best! The food was perfect in temperature & balance, and the place was immaculately clean. The bar and restrooms have purse hooks, which is always appreciated. We started with bourbon drinks, oysters & crab legs, then had a scallops dish & venison dish, and finished with espressos and panna cotta. Everything was cooked perfectly and served on time.

I had always heard great things about Lucas Local, but my visit exceeded my expectations! The menu had a great variety for seafood lovers, and was sure to include good options for meat eaters as well. We’re pretty new to trying oysters, but we knew we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have some while we were here because they were so fresh. Their special that night of oysters with pico de gallo, cilantro, and apples were the best oysters we’ve ever had! The quahog casino was fantastic, and I loved my linguine and clams, while my fiancé enjoyed his scallops, which came with a puréed squash and made a perfect dish for the fall. We ended the night with a flourless chocolate cake for dessert, which was great too! Our server was attentive and friendly, and we were seated next to the oyster bar, where we talked to the friendly people behind the counter as well. The space was inviting, and had some really nice decorations that added to the restaurant’s character. We will be back for sure!
