Luca Pizza West Pittston: A Standout Spot for New York Style Pizza …
Reviews
We tried the Trifecta Pizza, Cheese Pizza, Cajun Ranch Wings, and a Cheesesteak Stromboli, and each item was delicious. The Trifecta Pizza really stood out with its contrast of sauces that blended perfectly together. The wings had a light breading that was a bit unexpected but added an enjoyable texture and flavor. The Cheesesteak Stromboli was satisfying, and even the classic Cheese Pizza was a hit with our kids who commented on how “really good” it was.
Overall, Luca Pizza exceeded expectations. Everything tasted great and the quality was exceptional. We’re looking forward to ordering again soon and trying more items off the menu.
Food: The pizza looks amazing. The sauces on the pizzas were delicous. I especially like the pesto. However, the dough of the pizza is chewy in a negative way. I had to rip the pizza with force with every bite I took. The best way I can explain it is, it’s like biting into cardboard.
If they can fix the dough, this pizza could be all around delicous.
The Angels and Demons Pizza was on point.
Disclaimer: I HATE PEPPERONI ON PIZZA…. Or at least, I did….I was worried writing that alone might get me booted, but I have to update that stance after having Luca Pizza in West Pittston.
I’m hooked on cup and char pepperoni (haven’t tried cup and char sausage yet) and the flavor sans grease. I’ve seen it used at a couple places around here, and I know Tony Cerimele is a fan based on his recent pop-up in the Electric City. I’m not even sure what I ordered or what I was looking at on that individual slice, because it seemed unique for the day; cup and char pepperoni, basil and not sure if it’s their creamy mozzarella or ricotta but it had goat cheese-like creaminess vibes, and I mean that in the best way!
We also got the 16″ New York style round cheese pizza with sweet sauce and garlic knots; I can’t say it’s better than Angelo’s or Gerry’s, particularly because I was late picking up and three hungry kids made for a fun ride to the pool from there, but it was a crowd pleaser. Pretty standard plain with sweet sauce, would definitely order for regular party fair and pleasing a variety of guests. Garlic knots were fresh, plump and full of flavor but not obnoxiously soaked; best ones I’ve had in awhile.
I ate it under this tree, it was nice. I really wanna get back for the garlic knot sliders, Brooklyn pan, Angels N Demons specialty and their trifecta of sauces offered on a few pies, but overall a great stop.
Pizza is delicious and a great addition to West Pittston. I had just returned from Rome and the crust on the grandmother’s pizza is similar to the pizza al taglio I had in Rome (Bonci specifically). Glad they’re here and wishing for continued success!
