Went in for some warm food and was not disappointed. Ordered pho with steak and meatballs. The meatballs were very tasty and the broth was rich. Loved the atmosphere. Can definitely get busy so if you have a big group be prepared but they have a good amount if table to accommodate large groups. Also ordered some cocktails included the Asian vacation, very tasty if you like pineapple and the blood of tiger ( which is an amazing cocktail to try my friends favorite and go to when she visits).

I had the round steak and lean brisket pho at Luc Lac Vietnamese Kitchen in downtown Portland, and wow… the flavor was absolutely on point.

The broth was the first thing that stood out. Deep, clean, rich without being heavy. You can taste the time and care that went into it. The round steak was tender, the brisket was lean but still packed with flavor, and everything came together exactly how good pho should.

I am a foodie and very picky when it comes to pho. I always judge the broth first, and this one delivered. No shortcuts, no gimmicks, just solid technique and balance.

To be fair, I had just come off a 72 hour fast, so my taste buds were definitely awake, but that honestly made me appreciate it even more. This bowl hit all the right notes and reminded me why pho done right is both comfort and craft.

Excellent quality, great execution, and absolutely worth a stop if you are downtown. I will definitely be back.

I’ve been here many times and this is absolutely one of my favorite spots when I crave a spicy coconut curry dish. The atmosphere is cozy, modern and has a PNW/Asian vibe, which perfectly compliments Portland’s foodie scene. All the dishes and cocktails here are beautifully crafted, vibrant and flavorful. Two covered/heated outdoor seating areas and full bar. Take out is very popular as well.

Salads are not my go-to meal when I eat out. But this restaurant has changed that. Their salads are PHENOMENAL!!! The wait was absolutely worth it. We were served within 10 minutes of placing our order. The staff were attentive and courteous. The eye-catching decorations were just a cherry on top!

The only thing that could have made our experience even better was if they had dessert. Truthfully, it would have to be very small one because we were stuffed at the end.

I cannot recommend this place enough.

Hi Idk
i liked the phở broth and the brisket was very tender but the noodles were clumpy and broke apart immediately when i tried to pick them up..
the vermicelli was the same, but there was barely any vermicelli in the bowl, mostly just vegetables, the ratio was pretty off IMO, really disappointing. i liked the nem nướng and rolls tho.
the bò lá lót was pretty different than traditional but it wasn’t that bad, pretty small portion tho.
the lúc lắc plate was just okay, it wasn’t as soft as i was hoping, kind of hard to chew.
overall an okay experience, liked the vibes tho.

I have been here a couple times. I have gotten the vegan banh mi with tofu. It’s good. I feel like they could add more tofu. It is served on an uneventful bun. Too much bun. Not enough tofu. Kinda dry so I use the sweet dark sauce on the table. It does come with a salad and crispy rolls. The crispy rolls are really good. The salad dressing is a delicious vinaigrette of some sort.
My wife loves this place. She gets the vegan pho. I’m not a fan of pho.
The vibe is really cool. Know what you want before you get there. It’s counter order with very quick delivery to your table. Servers were friendly. I recommend giving this place a try. 🙂

Driving through Portland heading over to the coast we decided to have lunch. Luc Lac came up in the search so we gave it a try. We were not disappointed.

The dishes were flavorful, presentation was clean, dining room decor was festive and well done.

The only negative is the servings were huge, and being on a road trip so we were faced with the need to leave food behind.

I would not hesitate to recommend.

I got chicken pho and it was very good. I’ve had better in Seattle and SF, but it was very good. 8/10 for sure. I missed the toasted garlic and onions, but overall setup is great. Order > Sit > Wait > Eat. It’s very efficient and has great decor. Person next to me got shrimp tom yum (smelled and looked wonderful) and a curry by the next person. Everything I saw looked and smelled wonderful. Very solid pho, big bowl, finished 100% and enjoyed thoroughly.

Food is good, but I ordered on DoorDash and they charged me $5.45 for a 12 oz Diet Coke!!! That’s absolutely absurd. They don’t show pictures of the drink on DoorDash or list the size. If I knew I was paying over $5 for a sip of soda then I would have opted out of a drink. Really disappointed.
