I like this Luby’s on Veterans Memorial Dr. near the North Freeway. The food was good.
The dining room was very clean. The servers and the dining room attendants were very friendly and helpful. I usually eat at the Luby’s on the East Freeway. This was my first time to dine at this location. I had a pleasant dining experience.
As a disabled veteran and senior citizen, I really appreciate the 25% discount that is afforded to members of the military as well as veterans.

The food at this Ludy’s is much better than the one in Kingwood. I frequent this Ludy’s and has never found a reason to go back. The staff is quite friendly and pleasant when providing what you asked for and offer you things you didn’t. The dining room…. it’s Ludy’s.

Love Luby’s, and was so excited to find this one while in N Houston, since my local one closed. Okra was the best and tea was fresh, as always. Also, Sergio was so kind and joyful. His happiness was infectious. Hope I can come back again someday.

My family and I eat here almost every month one Sunday out of the month for the past decade. The quality of this place decreases every single year. Today we ordered 5 plates to go, each of them having broccoli as a side. EVERY SINGLE PLATE had MAGGOTS! LIVE MAGGOTS IN EVERY PIECE OF BROCCOLI. There is NO EXCUSE for a restaurant to let this pass not once but 5 different plates. Makes me believe they do not follow any protocol, couldn’t do the bare minimum of making sure the produce is clean. I will never eat here again. You have lost a loyal customer.

Great food. Very tasty. Great customer service. Prepare to pay premium price. 35$ 2 people. Not including tip. Although we are stuffed. The price seemed to be a little deceptive. If you get the side salad. Your meal goes from 8$ to 15$ somehow.

Ordered catering for company luncheon, the website has us mark a day and time we will pick up food. Arrived only to find my food cold and was told we had to heat it up. We have nothing to heat up with at work, asked the server if they could heat the food as it was to be eaten as soon as we arrived to the office. The server had a very bad attitude. Half heated it and tried to give to me like that. I rejected the cold mashed potatoes and instead got my money back for them. Never have I ordered catered food and had it given to me cold. Do not order Lubys Catering unless you plan on heating up your own meal. Had to go to popeye’s catering and they gave me HOT food!!
