Good old fashioned place that feels like home. Feels like mom’s cooking 🙂 feels like that one friend whose mom invited you over for dinner. Feels like the best days at school when the food was good. Dont expect Michelin star level food and you’ll have a great time.

This location is open while still undergoing construction. Signage was good to let customers know what were the specials. Prices were affordable. Food wasn’t bland or salty and it even tasted like someone cared about it being healthy because it was not overcooked. Servers were helpful as always and attentive. My only suggestion is to update the tea and drink options. Green tea should be an option and aqua frescas. I recommend this place for drive thru or to-go until construction is done. But if you must dine in go at lunchtime.

I have been dining at this Luby’s location almost daily for a year or so now. It’s my favorite Luby’s Restaurant in the Houston area. As a senior citizen on a limited income, I really appreciate the 25% military veteran discount.
They have a nice selection of main entrees with two side dishes and a dinner roll. I have found all of the employees that work here to be very friendly and helpful. I think a combo meal for $7 – $9 with my military discount is a bargain. I have found that cooking for myself at home is time consuming and inefficient. Luby’s is very convenient and affordable for me.
It’s a cafeteria style restaurant, but don’t forget to leave the dining room attendants a modest tip. I have found all of the dining room attendants to be very friendly, outgoing and helpful. They do a very good job of keeping the tables and the floor in the dining room clean.

The manager zoe is so nice and attentive… everytime i see her she takes care of me and my elder mom and makes us laugh… my mom gets excited to see her… zoe is so cheerful everytime… i am a happy customer and i have been coming to eat here all the time

Luby’s used to be a Houston favorite, but the quality has declined in recent years. Many dishes lack seasoning and overall flavor. However, if you’re simply looking for a decent meal at a reasonable price, Luby’s is still a solid choice.
