We stopped there to get breakfast and were seated right away. We got our drinks really quick too. We ordered our breakfast and it took 40 minutes for us to get that. The food was good but the wait time for our food wasn’t that great.

This was my second time eating here since the new owner. Not surprisingly, the quality is going down. (To be expected from someone that has failed multiple restaurants in the past. Perhaps he’ll be able to keep a well established place open.)
I ordered two eggs, tots, bacon, with biscuits and gravy. The fried eggs were the smallest I’ve ever had at a restaurant and were not cooked the way I ordered. The bacon was ordered chewy, and was over cooked. Gravy lacks flavor.
Hubby got bacon, cheese and jalapeno omelet. Worse omelet we’ve ever had. Suppose to be 3 eggs, but with how thin the egg was, I doubt it. Then again my eggs were tiny so maybe. The bacon in it was very over cooked and rock hard. Cheese seems to be cheap sliced cheese.
This has always been a seat yourself place, and I did see the sign still there, although off to the side. Whether they are trying to change it or not, I found it very rude when the owner moved a couple to a crowded back room because they say at a 6 seater. I guess they thought it was rude too since they ended up walking out the back shortly after.
Waitress was friendly however never came back to refill my drink. I suppose I could have flagged her down, but like to see what kind of service I’ll get.
Would I eat here again? Doubtful (At least not until it changes owners again)

After Church today, Dana and Steven drove to Lu Lu’s Cafe Restaurant in Estill Springs. It is always worth the drive. Great breakfast and today’s lunch was a 5 . Dana ordered Chicken and Dressing, Pinto Beans onion, sweet potato casserole and real corn bread muffin. Steven ordered Broasted Chicken, Pinto Beans onion, sweet potato casserole and real corn bread muffin. Everything was excellent, food, service and even the owner stopped by and talked with us. This is definitely a great restaurant.

Country Fried steak from a bag. Hears lots of great stuff, but if country fried steak is your special for the day, don’t pull it from bag. Greens were great and hot. Mashed potatoes, gravey and non country fried steak were barely warm.

Whether I’m there for breakfast or lunch, the food is always good, served hot, and fast. The one exception is if it’s Sunday lunch. That is always busy and sometimes a little wait but always worth it. It can get a little loud when there is a full house depending on the crowd. That can be annoying if you’re lunching with people you really want to chat with.
Breakfast is served all day. They close at 2:00 so don’t plan on dinner.

On your travels, if you happen to find yourself around Decherd TN on HWY#41. Do yourself a favor and stop by Lu Lu’s Cafe. Breakfast is served all day the lunch menu primarily consists of a “meat and three”.
Pictured is the All American Omelet which is a six egg omelette with every option they have thrown in it, served with grits and toast.
Our waitress, Kelly, was wonderful. She kept our drinks filled and entertained us with some interesting conversation.
The bathrooms were clean as was the entire restaurant which was decorated in classic country style.
I will be returning.

One of the best small town diners we ever been to. The fried/broasted chicken was awesome along with the mashed potatoes and green beans! Also fantastic service. Too bad it’s not closer to us because we’d be back all the time!!

One of our favorite home cooking places around this area. Must have if you are close. Everyone is friendly too and the food is so delicious every time. I added pictures of menu in photos. They also have a daily special, that is different everyday. Desserts are great too.
