We had an outstanding experience at Sushi Ltd. The pre courses were simple and traditional but executed beautifully with clean flavors and incredible freshness. They set the perfect tone for the meal. The sushi itself was very solid, especially the uni and tuna which were some of the freshest we have had. We do not usually eat oysters or fish liver but both were prepared so well that there was no off or fishy taste at all and they ended up being highlights.
By the end of the meal we were completely satisfied and very full. The service throughout the night was warm and attentive with the team constantly checking in on guests and engaging in genuine conversation.
What really made the experience special was the interaction with Chef Keiji. He has an amazing sense of humor and created a welcoming and lively atmosphere at the sushi bar by interacting with everyone and helping guests get to know each other. It felt like more than just a meal and truly a memorable experience. We will definitely be back.
The positive: the dishes were presented beautifully, offering a variety of seafood and preparation styles. To our enjoyment, there was an educational aspect and our server, Ms. Kondo was very good. The restaurant seats only 16 people at the time, for two sessions a day, I believe they offer reservations at the end of each month for the following month, or you can put yourself on wait list.
Nitpicking: my suggestion would be to expand the bar sitting, so everyone has the same experience, even if they don’t interact with the chef directly. The space would allow that.
Second, the sushi rice was not cooked fully, so after every dish we end up with rice in our mouths. That should not happen in this level of restaurant and was distracting from the experience.
But rare and phenomenal experience. Give them a try!
Every course was beautifully presented, and the flavors were perfectly balanced, highlighting the quality of each ingredient. You could truly taste the care and precision in every bite.
The service was warm, polished, and attentive throughout the evening.
We left feeling completely satisfied and genuinely impressed. It was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had, and we can’t wait to return for the next seasonal menu.
Every course was fresh, intense, delicate, nurturing, and challenging at the same time. This is a meal I will think about until I die. The intimacy is worth the price and the coaching throughout the meal is one of a kind.
We went for the fall, and will come back for every season.
Cons:
Wait time: Our 7:45 PM reservation didn’t get seated until 8:15. We even arrived early and ended up waiting 45 minutes. The first course wasn’t served until 8:30, and we didn’t finish until 10:45 — three hours for a 15-piece omakase, and we still left hungry.
Dietary request ignored: I noted in the reservation that one guest doesn’t eat eggs and also reminded the server after being seated. She confirmed she saw the note — yet we still got tamago at the end. It’s a very basic diet accommodation, and they still missed it. It was already late, so we didn’t bother mentioning it again, but that was disappointing.
Cleanliness: The wooden rice bucket that chef Jun used to make hand rolls for table guests had dark stains or mold along the edges . That’s very concerning..
Food quality: The sushi was fresh and nicely cut, but the selection was very standard — nothing surprising or memorable.
Pros:
If you love sake, the sake pairing ($45 per person) is worth it — nine different sakes with refills. The first three appetizers were creative and flavorful (especially the shiso green sauce), but the rest wasn’t worth the price. The ingredients were too ordinary for this price point.
On the bright side, the staff were all very friendly and gave us a glass of sparkling wine for a birthday celebration (though they forgot one guest doesn’t eat eggs ).
In total, it came to $375 for two including tax and service, plus $70 for sake pairing for one.
If you don’t drink sake, honestly LTD isn’t worth it.
The food quality and freshness were outstanding. The restaurant hosts only 8 seats at the omakase bar, with an additional 3–4 tables on the side, which makes it the perfect size for an intimate omakase experience. Everything was well taken care of. The server was one of the best I’ve ever seen, attentive and always on top of everything.
It is pricey, but worth every penny. The chef shared that they create a different menu each season, depending on the fish available at that time. We’ll definitely be back!
The whole experience, from the chef meticulously crafting each piece right in front of us to the incredible staff making sure we had everything we needed, was so incredibly well done. And the food? Oh my goodness, the food was absolutely incredible! Every single bite was a little piece of heaven. The sake pairing was also a total blast – it was a lot of fun and really made the meal even more memorable.
If you have the chance to go, I would 100% recommend you go! This place is a gem, and you’ll leave feeling completely satisfied and happy
The sanma here is absolutely insane. It’s thick and flavorful. I don’t think you can find that anywhere else in Seattle.
wild-caught buri, incredibly fatty and thick.
And the aji — in my opinion, the soul of LTD. The thickness, presentation, and texture are on another level.
