A nice surprise! Friendly staff, the owner will make sure to enchant you with his rich accent as to the special of the day. I savored the Hungarian goulash (a local favorite). I hear from various customers the deserts are delicious (sweets are not my cup of tea, sorry). The lunch’s I hear are unique and fresh as well. The BLT is supposedly the best in Lincoln, again as per various patrons. Give this place a shot if you enjoy quality and unique eats. They require reservations on the weekends or you can belly up to the bar.

Love this cozy restaurant! I had dinner here a couple of months ago, but finally have time to write this review. The food was absolutely delicious, and the server was so nice and attentive throughout the evening. I also appreciated that the chef came by at the beginning to introduce the menu and greet us, it made the experience feel even more personal. Overall, we had such a great time here, and I’ll definitely be back!

Took a few team members from work here last night, and it was a fantastic experience — 10/10.
The chef was amazing. He’s French and originally from France, and you can absolutely tell. He came out, greeted everyone, and personally shared the specials. His jokes were fresh too — no recycled lines — which made the experience even better. You can tell he puts just as much care into the atmosphere as he does the food.
Now the food… the appetizers were incredible — easily the best versions of those dishes I’ve had in a long time. The entrées were perfectly portioned, and you could really taste the French craftsmanship and attention to detail in every bite.
Desserts were next level.
The bread pudding was soft, warm, and layered with rich, complex flavors.
The brownie was clearly homemade.
The crème brûlée was addictive — couldn’t get enough of it.
The mousse was smooth, velvety, homemade, and perfectly balanced in sweetness.
Highly recommend this place whether you’re planning a nice date night or taking a group from work. Either way, I’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely fantastic food and a great dining experience. Every dish was flavorful and thoughtfully prepared, and it’s easy to tell how much care goes into the menu. We really enjoyed our evening and will definitely be back. Highly recommend! My favorite dish was the scallops and risotto, appetizers were outstanding, and my husband enjoyed the chorizo rigatoni. Lots of dietary accommodations for gluten free. I had wonderful options! Will be back, and soon!

While looking for a place to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we came across L’s Kitchen. We made a reservation – which I highly encourage due to limited seating. Their website describes the restaurant as “unpretentious, cozy and sophisticated” and I think that is a spot on description. The tables are set with delicate flowers and a candle, adding to the coziness of the experience. After settling in, we were greeted by Chef Lawrence who has an awesome French accent. He kindly wished us a happy anniversary and described the specials he had created for that evening. We started with the potato cakes then ordered the carbonara and mushroom risotto. The food blew us away – especially the carbonara. My husband loved his old fashion and glass of pinot noir recommended by our hostess. We finished with the creme brulee which was so SPECTACULAR I was tempted to order a second! Our experience concluded with a final visit from the Chef which was a nice touch. This restaurant rivals some of the “nicer” restaurants in Lincoln we have been to without the outrageous price tag. We spent the car ride home talking about how great the whole experience was and how we can’t wait to go back. This restaurant is such a great addition to Lincoln’s food scene, don’t miss it!

A Taste of France Right Here!
This French restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, it felt like I had been transported straight back to France. The food was simply top-notch—rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and unmistakably authentic.
What made the experience even more special was the chef personally coming out to serve us while also preparing the dishes in the kitchen. That level of passion and dedication really shines through in the food.

We celebrated our anniversary at L’s Kitchen, named after Chef Lawrence, who personally greets every table — a wonderful personal touch. This visit came just weeks after returning from a two-week trip to France, and I can honestly say the experience here rivals the finest dining we enjoyed abroad.
This is haute cuisine at its best, right here in Lincoln. We loved it so much we came back with our family of five for a birthday dinner, and it’s now firmly on our list of favorite local restaurants.
The scallops were divine, the filet mignon perfectly prepared, and the chef’s chicken absolutely delicious. For dessert, the chocolate mousse was deep and rich, and the crème brûlée was truly exceptional.
And here’s a fun insider tidbit — Chef Lawrence’s great-great-great-great grandfather fought alongside the Marquis de Lafayette during America’s founding. How cool is that?

Chef Lawrence came and greeted us at our table, he was very welcoming. The smoked turkey stroganoff was the chef’s special and we got an order of that and the scallops with Parmesan risotto. The smoked turkey stroganoff was absolutely incredible. The scallops were great. Sage grouse drink was delicious. We will absolutely be back. We did make a reservation which is recommended for coming on a Friday dinner service.
