My boyfriend and I ordered their avocado toast through DoorDash because it looked great in the photos and we were excited to try something new. What arrived was nothing like what was advertised. It was a plain piece of toast with some smashed avocado and an egg on top—no salad, no presentation, and honestly, no flavor. It was extremely bland and underwhelming, and not at all what you’d expect for a $19 menu item.
This wasn’t a case of “presentation being off.” We did not receive the item that was pictured and described on the menu.
We called the store to express our disappointment and were told they couldn’t help us, then given the owner’s number. When we spoke to the owner, he was dismissive and unprofessional, repeatedly stating that presentation is not grounds for a refund and cutting the call short. He showed no interest in actually addressing the issue—that we didn’t receive what we ordered.
Overall, it was a complete letdown in both food quality and customer service. If you’re looking for a good café-style breakfast, Stinky Buns in the Cove and Keke’s are much better options. If you’re looking for a French bakery, Flore Bakery is a great choice.
Save your time and money—this place isn’t worth it.
What I typically order…
– almond croissant, chocolate croissant or a combo (sometimes they create new things like the chocolate chip croissant in the pic). All their croissants are good!
– ham and cheese quiche, it’s just simply the best and they gave you a good size slice with a side salad. If I need something quick to go then I get the spinach pastry you see in the pic.
TIP: it maybe hard to find from the street because of the name, the name shows “LPP” instead of the full name and it’s at the corner of the plaza. They also have a cute outdoor area when weather is nice.
Come check it out, you won’t be disappointed!
The menu photo also clearly showed a side salad, which was not included. So the dish was different from what was advertised, and it was missing part of what was shown. When you order based on the photo, you reasonably expect to receive what’s pictured. That did not happen here.
We called the store and were given the owner’s number by the person who prepared the food. When I spoke to the owner, he repeatedly stated that “presentation is not a criteria for a refund,” and quickly ended the call without addressing the actual issue. The problem is not presentation—it’s that the product delivered did not match what was ordered from the menu.
The interaction was dismissive and showed no interest in resolving the issue. It was a poor display of customer service.
I’ve worked both front and back of house in restaurants for over 10 years. This is not how you handle customer concerns
After all this, we ate the food and it was as bland as it looked. Won’t be back, which is a shame because we enjoy French cafes.
Editing after owners response:
You can’t win them all—but this is not a “refund threat” or bad-review leverage situation.
I rarely leave reviews, and when I do, they’re for genuinely poor experiences or truly excellent ones.
I wish you just called me back like I insisted a few times, but instead you texted me seven hours after the incident only to tell me to “lose your number.” Bizarre behavior.
Clearly, you’re doing something right as a business. This was simply a moment where basic customer service should have stepped in, as any professional operation would.
To be clear, this was never about the $35. I wasn’t chasing a refund—I was offering a reasonable way to resolve the issue. You chose to interpret it differently.
Best of luck.
We spent a total of 40$. The worker was super nice and attentive but the food was not good. There was hardly any bacon and the bacon that was there was as thin as paper, The egg had no flavor and the Latte had no ice and was half foam and did not taste like dulce de leche at all. Definitely not worth the money. Would not go here again.
