First time and definitely the last time ordering from Le Petit Poussin.

My boyfriend and I ordered their avocado toast through DoorDash because it looked great in the photos and we were excited to try something new. What arrived was nothing like what was advertised. It was a plain piece of toast with some smashed avocado and an egg on top—no salad, no presentation, and honestly, no flavor. It was extremely bland and underwhelming, and not at all what you’d expect for a $19 menu item.

This wasn’t a case of “presentation being off.” We did not receive the item that was pictured and described on the menu.

We called the store to express our disappointment and were told they couldn’t help us, then given the owner’s number. When we spoke to the owner, he was dismissive and unprofessional, repeatedly stating that presentation is not grounds for a refund and cutting the call short. He showed no interest in actually addressing the issue—that we didn’t receive what we ordered.

Overall, it was a complete letdown in both food quality and customer service. If you’re looking for a good café-style breakfast, Stinky Buns in the Cove and Keke’s are much better options. If you’re looking for a French bakery, Flore Bakery is a great choice.

Save your time and money—this place isn’t worth it.

Amazing food and service!! The matcha is the perfect balance of sweet and bitter. I loved the vanilla with it. And the food is even better. Alonna was awesome and gave me great recommendations like the pistachio roll and almond croissant.

Everything here is perfect (not exaggerating). The most important in any restaurant is the food and literally everything they make is delicious! What makes things better is the service, the ladies are so friendly and welcoming (especially Sirine – she’s the best). There is a gentleman that also helps out and he is also very friendly. They truly seem like they care and are very helpful.

What I typically order…
– almond croissant, chocolate croissant or a combo (sometimes they create new things like the chocolate chip croissant in the pic). All their croissants are good!
– ham and cheese quiche, it’s just simply the best and they gave you a good size slice with a side salad. If I need something quick to go then I get the spinach pastry you see in the pic.

TIP: it maybe hard to find from the street because of the name, the name shows “LPP” instead of the full name and it’s at the corner of the plaza. They also have a cute outdoor area when weather is nice.

Come check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

Just stopped into the plaza to take care of a couple things with my brother. I popped in because I was a little hungry and got the almond croissant heated up to go. I had a few bites in the car and immediately had to turn around to go back in to profess how amazing the croissant was! Way beyond the expectations! If you do not know about this place, you definitely should!

My fiancé and I visited this place for my birthday and ordered 2 breakfast croissants + 2 large lattes and they were TERRIBLE. The eggs and bacon are premade and the server who is just a teen, warms it up and that’s it. The croissants were cold and lattes were tasteless – most watered down coffee I ever had. Needless to say this was an overpriced ($40) experience and we will not come back here again. NOT WORTH it

I ordered the avocado toast and what I received looked nothing like the item pictured on the menu. It was a plain piece of toast with some avocado spread on it and an egg placed on top. No seasoning, no toppings, no effort. It was not café-style avocado toast by any standard.

The menu photo also clearly showed a side salad, which was not included. So the dish was different from what was advertised, and it was missing part of what was shown. When you order based on the photo, you reasonably expect to receive what’s pictured. That did not happen here.

We called the store and were given the owner’s number by the person who prepared the food. When I spoke to the owner, he repeatedly stated that “presentation is not a criteria for a refund,” and quickly ended the call without addressing the actual issue. The problem is not presentation—it’s that the product delivered did not match what was ordered from the menu.

The interaction was dismissive and showed no interest in resolving the issue. It was a poor display of customer service.

I’ve worked both front and back of house in restaurants for over 10 years. This is not how you handle customer concerns

After all this, we ate the food and it was as bland as it looked. Won’t be back, which is a shame because we enjoy French cafes.

Editing after owners response:

You can’t win them all—but this is not a “refund threat” or bad-review leverage situation.

I rarely leave reviews, and when I do, they’re for genuinely poor experiences or truly excellent ones.

I wish you just called me back like I insisted a few times, but instead you texted me seven hours after the incident only to tell me to “lose your number.” Bizarre behavior.

Clearly, you’re doing something right as a business. This was simply a moment where basic customer service should have stepped in, as any professional operation would.

To be clear, this was never about the $35. I wasn’t chasing a refund—I was offering a reasonable way to resolve the issue. You chose to interpret it differently.

Best of luck.

Best coffee, delicious fresh pastries. Isabelle and Alonna are ROCKSTARS thye make my favorite cold coffee mocha drink, always awesome. The raspberry cheese danish couldn’t be better, apple pie pastries, hot out of the over too, wow! I’m in Pompano and I make the trek down there once a week to take my friend who is a disabled senior to have her hair washed in the shopping center. I wish I lived closer, I’d be there a lot. The cafe is clean too. Take pride do great stuff and your community responds with appreciation, loyalty, then you have Starbucks, yuck in comparison the corporate giant’s food and drinks taste artificial, too sweet on the drinks and pastries, and not clean when I’ve gone and they’ve got usually several on staff at once. Great job LPP Cafe – see ya soon!

We had a terrible experience here yesterday and we will not be going back even though we used to love it. Pastry quality has declined and the service was absolutely horrible. The Parisian sandwich had so much butter you could see pieces of it and the rest was pouring out of the sandwich. It took a while to get our food but while we were eating the staff member came to our table and rudely said “We close in 7 minutes”. Meanwhile he still had closing duties so he didn’t need to be so disrespectful to an 89 year old senior. It totally ruined our lunch and our day. We recommend the other French bakeries in the area now that this one is so bad…

The location was clean, we went around noon and there were no customers. We ordered two bacon egg and cheese croissants one with avocado and one without with a side of scrambled eggs and a dulce de leche latte with oatmilk.
We spent a total of 40$. The worker was super nice and attentive but the food was not good. There was hardly any bacon and the bacon that was there was as thin as paper, The egg had no flavor and the Latte had no ice and was half foam and did not taste like dulce de leche at all. Definitely not worth the money. Would not go here again.
