We came on a very slow night, so the owner was very attentive to us. The nachos were excellent! The meat just melted in your mouth of goodness and flavor. The margaritas were also yummy!

As I’m visiting Katy for work, I looked up a Mexican restaurant nearby so I could eat and head back to San Antonio. I have to tell you that I’m so glad I stopped in. I was welcomed in and sat by the owner himself. Immediately, I was given chips, salsa, and my side of butter! I glanced at the menu and saw what I thought would be good but turned out to be great. The turn around to get the food was served in a very timely fashion. It didn’t last long as it was so good! There are a lot of different food options on the menu that sounded great, so I’m going to have to return soon. Restaurant is very presentable with clean restrooms, which is always a huge bonus for me. Thank you, Jose, for a wonderful experience at your establishment. Thank you also for a great conversation. Unfortunately I’m very disappointed in the food.
Restaurant atmosphere:
The restaurant itself was very beautiful, nice decor , it seemed very clean . I overall loved how it looks inside 8/10
Service:
I was served rather fast but again , I was the only customer in the establishment . I was surprised that despite how beautiful the place was there were no customers but after reading the reviews and tasting the food I can see why. The older gentleman who helped me was nice so that was good.
Food :
I got the Leo Nachos since I didn’t understand the menu too much or nothing seemed to catch my eye. (The gentleman did offer to help with the menu but I declined since I wasn’t in a rush. )
The nachos were very disappointing, the beans had no taste , the chicken was bland. They came with Guac and pico de gallo. I added both to the nachos and I also got a side of Sour cream.
I can’t point out specifically what it was that gave the nachos a sour taste , I ate 3 or 4 until the taste got too strong before I had to stop eating.
Price :
The nachos were $15 I believe , I also got a water and one beer for a total of $22 give or take. Not a bad price but I do feel like it’s a little too much for the quality of food.
Overall views :
I would not recommend this place , I think they need to show a little more love and care on their food and this could be a fine establishment.

The first time here for me and the wife. It didn’t look like much from the outside but the inside is really nice, and not over done like some places. The owner met us as we came in and waited on us the whole time. So of course service was great and he is very friendly. The food was very good, I like queso with peppers, tomatoes, onions and cilantro so it was kind of boring with just cheese. The salsa was fresh and good and the chips as well. The only thing I didn’t love was the enchilada gravy, the flavor was good but it wasn’t thick at all. Next time we will be trying the fajitas and dessert

I happened on this place while I was running errands. I ordered their Especial and I didn’t expect it to have some of the best fajita steak in the area. They’re using some very high quality meat with the tenderness of filet mignon. That cut of meat would have cost me at least 30-40 for the same quality at a steakhouse.
On top of the food, the service was great and the place was very clean.
This restaurant is a hidden gem I would highly recommend.

We are so excited we came across this establishment! We finally found our go to Mexican restaurant.
*Salas was fresh, full of flavor and had a good spice.
*Top Shelf Margaritas was strong!!
* We order the Creole Enchiladas with Beef Fajita. The BEST most tender beef fajita i’ve had at a restaurant cooked to perfection med rare.
*Pollo picante- Thick & Tender chicken breast with peppers & onions.
The rice was fluffy and moist!
We loved it so much we order a togo meal as well.
We will definitely be visiting this location more!!!

I really wanted to like this place. I don’t know if maybe it was just an off day, but it seems like all of the dishes were underwhelming. Nothing was bad, but I’ve definitely had better. The drinks were the highlight of the experience. One plate of food seemed like it had been sitting for a while, it was not the right temperature and the taco was soggy. And all the plates just seemed a bit empty. The service and staff were very good and pleasant.

I celebrated my 50th here. The owner accommodated my decorations, cake, and even Mariachis. We were given a part of his restaurant to my guests. The food and service were top notch. The owner made me feel like family. It was an amazing experience. I highly recommend any special occasion here! It is a gem in Katy! Come and support this locally owned family business!

The “Top Shelf” margaritas taste only like sweet and sour. We didn’t taste tequila at all. My husband finished his, but I couldn’t drink any more than pictured.
The food came out quickly. It was fresh, but not flavors we’d return for.
The salsa was unique and tasty. The amount of beans and rice with our meals was pretty hilarious. I literally had 2 bites of beans.

However, had the server inquired as to why I hadn’t drank my margarita, I would have explained to her that it tasted like sweet and sour mix, and not at all like a margarita, much less a top shelf margarita. First time here because we saw the reviews. Service and food were amazing. I ordered Pollo Picante and the chicken was juicy and tender. They kept the chips, salsa and drinks full. Will definitely come back again soon!!
