Hands down some of the BEST soul food I have had in a long time! Everything tasted freshly prepared, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely booming with flavor — you can truly taste the love in every bite.
What made the experience even more special was the owner personally coming out to speak with us. He shared history about the city, local insight, and you can tell he is truly passionate about both his community and his restaurant. Being born and raised in the area, his pride shines through in the food, the atmosphere, and the hospitality.
The vibes were amazing, the service was warm and welcoming, and the entire experience felt genuine from start to finish.
This restaurant will honestly be one of the main reasons I return to this city because the food is THAT good. If you are anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in — you will not be disappointed!

This place is worthy of a Michelin star in my personal opinion. The first time I had, their food was from their food truck and it was delicious. We happened to be driving back home to Satellite Beach from a Mims speaking engagement and the owner of this restaurant was also a fellow speaker. So we stopped by the restaurant as we had such a good experience with their food truck and their story is inspiring. Oh my God, their food is even better at the restaurant. We ordered so much food, and each every dish was so delicious! We started off with fried green tomatoes, fried okra, smothered fried pork chops, fried catfish, collard greens, Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes & gravy, and lima beans. We were so satisfied full, we forgot to order dessert! And I had my eyes on the peach cobbler, as one doesn’t see that offered by many restaurants. The service was great too. We never had to wait too long to ask the server, nor wait too long to get anything, and service was always pleasant and efficient. The atmosphere is down home comfortable and clean. I highly recommend this restaurant for any sized group – from 2 to 20, families, colleagues, etc. You won’t be disappointed!

Mary, the owners wife, was friendly and terrific! Even came out to my car to meet Chuck the Poodle who was waiting patiently in the A/C.
The food. Well. Wow! I had the “lunch special” which was a delicious combo of fresh grouper and fresh shrimp. It was grilled perfectly, and oh so tasty. Sides of collards, yum, and brussel sprouts, double yum, were the icing on the cake. The sweet tea was perfect for the meal. What could be more southern and more hospitable?! PS, I grabbed an order of 6 wings, with sweet chili sauce, for dinner at the hotel.
Loyd Have Mercy is directly on route one, just north of route 50. Easy drive from 95. (Maybe 4 miles)
The ambieance was old home, with a touch of Alabama Fish Camp. The people were just as nice. You’ll be happy you made the stop. Wednesday’s special is Pot roast. Make no mistake, the next time I drop in will be a Wednesday!

Funny, my wife found this place for me for my birthday. Im visiting Florida and the name pulled us in. Very “catchy”, I went with my family and It was a great experience. Our server was great and the owner came out to meet us. Good Man and he can sure cook. The food was delicious The bill was very reasonable and the portions are full. We look forward to another visit to Loyd’s in the future.

Our dinner was absolutely delicious! We had fried green tomatoes for an appetizer, the fried smothered pork chop with collards and Black eyed peas and the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy and mac and cheese. Banana pudding for dessert was out of this world! We will definitely be back!!

Great food and service. The portions are huge. The flavor was great. The service from Ms V was on point. We got the fish and garlic parm wings and both were delicious. Highly recommend anyone to give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.

Quite possibly the best southern cooking on the space coast! Miss V was the best! Enjoyed some fried green tomatoes for an appetizer, smothered pork chops with greens and mac n cheese as well as the fried chicken with Brussels and mashed potatoes!

Our family came here for lunch after visiting the Kennedy Space Center. All the food is super delicious and the sides always surprised us in a good way, for instance, sweet & sour Brussels sprouts, mashed gravy, collard beans. Meanwhile, the waiter and waitress are super friendly to us. Our waitress Mary taped the cap so the kids’ drink won’t spill out, set up our table in the way that we can share the foods together. Very thoughtful. We had a great dining experience.
