LOX is fantastic!!
My friend and I shared the “lox five ways” tasting board and it was one of the best lunches I’ve ever had.
The service was kind, quick, and attentive (my water glass was never empty), and they were easily able to accommodate my gluten allergy.
Can’t recommend LOX enough!

Cutest lunch spot with the tastiest food! The staff were friendly and accommodating and the food came out quick. After we ate we got to enjoy the beautiful outdoors, was a nice experience.

The vegetarian lox bagel was pretty good and so were the potato latkes. Simple yet tasted homemade. However, for a “high-end” with high prices bistro, the staff and chefs were pretty disappointing in that none of them cared enough to check the ingredients or even know what went in the cooking unlike other restaurants. My husband has a dietary restriction to refined sugar yet they couldn’t bother to find out if the salad dressing, applesauce or walnuts (which tasted sweet to me but could be honey) had sugar or not.

Delicious Jewish food tucked away on the 2nd floor of the Museum of Jewish Heritage
Hot take – best lox in the city!
Bagel and lox is loaded with delicious fish and cream cheese. My only complaint would have been for more onions. But I love onions.
Deviled eggs are good too
The rainbow cake was decent. There’s better ones around.
Service was good but a little confusing. It’s supposed to be table service but there is no host to seat you. We ended up ordering at the counter but the food was served to our table …
You don’t have to pay the museum admission to eat here
Great views while you eat too!

Really great house made lox in a few different varieties. The menu has a bit of an Eastern European feel to it, but with a little New York flair. Chef David Teyf is very present in the kitchen and out around the tables. Not cheap, but high quality food with fresh ingredients, well made. We went for an early brunch before visiting the Museum of Jewish Heritage (although you can eat without buying a ticket to the museum)

We were looking for a kosher restaurant that would be quiet enough for us to talk comfortably with each other. We sat down around 11:00 a.m. without a wait on the outdoor patio. There was a nice view of the Hudson river and the Statue of Liberty. Just below the patio was a lovely rock garden where we could walk in the shade. I had a nice challah French toast and my family had various lox bagels. We were happy sharing our breakfasts and had animated conversation without difficulty. Afterwards I briefly viewed some of the museum photos and wall quotes.

Not good, and expensive for what it is. They don’t have half the things on their menu. The signature sandwich is extremely basic for $30. The lox looked high quality, but had a very slight fish smell. Will stick to Leo’s bagels. Not worth the trip. Don’t recommend. I really wanted to like it because it is close to where I live.

The lox platter is a great value and introduction to the various and impeccably prepared lox varieties including my personal favourite the Pastrami Lox. The condiments, cheeses and breads and bagels just combine to form a symphony of flavours. We loved and savoured every bite and wished we had more space to order more!

We got the crispy potatoes with dill and garlic. They were so tasty. We wish they had them by the bag. They were like chips. We got bagels and potato latkes. All were good but pricey. Vegetarian options.
