Lowcountry Milwaukee

  4.5 – 627 reviews   • Seafood restaurant

Social Profile:

Lowcountry provides a comfortable and backyard-like environment to embrace the culture of social gatherings around a seafood boil. Our inspiration originates from childhood memories of family road trips to the gulf coast, and digging into lowcountry style seafood in bags set on picnic tables. An experience we’ve longed to share with our friends. That day has arrived, and we’re excited for the opportunity to share this experience… We invite you to come and “get low” in our sauces, and roll out saying “Ohhh SHRIMP!”.

This place is soooooo incredibly good. I frequent New Orleans so I typically avoid Cajun style food because it’s never right. But this place was exactly that casual taste. Seafood was fresh, decor was beautiful. It’s huge too so can accommodate large groups.

So last night my husband and I decided to try this out because of all the good reviews. I had a custom made bag with King Crabs… my husband ate fried shrimp and fries. Fast forward late last night I threw everything back up, and my husband has diarrhea. I’m not sure if they’re not sanitizing their work area and hands back there or if the food is bad but I would not recommend going here!

I had the shrimp meal + 2 lobster tails price $109 the Lobster tails were good but for the same money I ate this week at the capital grill and I had a salad, 22 ounce ribeye with asparagus and lobster soup for $110. There was no way that Lowcountry was that good.

The decor has a great New Orleans/Mardi Gras feel, which is nice to have in the Midwest! Every time I come to low country, I enjoy my meal! Seafood boils are typically on the pricey side. But the week day combos are a great way to get a little bit of everything for a decent price. The flavor/spices are out of this world! I always come back to Lowcountry 🙂

delicious food, amazing quality, and fun atmosphere. I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing all locations and I must say.. the consistency is REAL. You many options provided to you, from sea to land. I have yet to have a bad experience at any of these locations. The food is nothing short of outstanding, EVERY TIME. They’ve made a lifelong customer out of me!
